Greetings! This is the first time I've ever even clicked on this section of the Café, let alone posted here, but I thought this would be the best place to ask this question. I just heard a story about a magician who had a cruise ship act in the late '80s, that included a bird that would sing "Hello Dolly." Actually the only part the bird would sing was the word "Dolly," and the pianist would play the rest. But if the pianist made a mistake, instead of singing "Dolly" the bird would let out a horrible squall. This is probably a long shot, but does anyone know who this magician may have been? I just spoke to a pianist who had a great story about accompanying him, but he didn't remember the guy's name. I'd love to find out more if I could.
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.
