Hey guys,
I'm a "Casino Magician" from Germany and I try to build a nice routine, which is all about Casino and it's games. For Poker it was easy to find exciting stuff, but I'm not satisfied on the variety of Card Trick on the topic Blackjack. I would really appreciate if you can help out and give me some ideas. Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply.
But before I have to check 100 books that I don't own for now, could someone tell me a Blackjack effect that you use and that is a worker for you and lasted the test of time?! |

BlackJack players use Card Counting. A magician can pretend; pretend to have a photographic memory and use patter to go on about card counters. There are card tricks that appear to prove the magician has a fantastic memory which may fit the bill. Some of these tricks are more or less self-working; see Charles Jordan's best card tricks book for example.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

A long time ago there was a thin book by Ron Ferris called "Ferris Wheels and Deals." I believe I recall some blackjack material in there. Not sure where it's available now; it is not on lybrary.com. I lost mine in a move.It didn't appeal to me, but I owned it. He must have been okay, because his name is next to Cervon's credit for the Rollover Aces effect! In a Spanish translation of an Ammar lecture while searching for Ron Ferris on lybrary.com just now.

This is a magician/hobbyist site...those who are interested in learning and demonstrating classic gambling moves and gambling themed moves, tricks and demos. After all, isn't this what Forte's two volume book is all about, the book that so many on this site have been fawning over and salivating about? If anyone thinks that book is about modern-day gambling techniques and methods that person is kidding himself. And what about the card tricks and routines in Forte's book. It is not about real modern-day gambling, although for what it does it is a very good book. So for the most part this site has very little to do with modern day gambling and techniques.
In fact, there is not any public site where professionals talk about and demonstrate moves and methods that are currently being used under fire on a professional level. |

I would recommend learning hand mucking. If the dealer is doing double or single deck pitch games you get to handle the cards. Hand mucking is a thing.

Yeah, mucking is a useful slight in terms of blackjack, I recommend you try to learn mucks from Tony Giorgio's DVD: The Ultimate Work.

Steve Forte does an impressive 21 demonstration:
