What is a peek wallet? Or for that matter what is "a peek?"
Well, let's run through a scenario ... let's say you have a spectator write down their favorite color on a business card and then YOU place their color between some credit cards and other business cards in your wallet - writing side down. But as you close the wallet, or hold the wallet - you "secretly" get the peek as to what they wrote. In short: You put their card into a sleeve or sealed compartment, and as you close the wallet or put it down on the table - You get the peek due to the way the wallet is secretly built. I've owned a handful very good peek wallets, but which one is the best? Well, obviously "best" is a subjective word - and we each have our favorites. Let's just say what works for me and how I perform - may not be what works best for you. My job isn't to tell you WHAT to buy or not buy - my job is to be objective and to give you the facts so that you can make up your own mind. First - here is a video where I give you the quick run down of a few wallets listing the pros and cons of each one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk42ZcZ2k_4 ................... Now that you've seen my TOP 4 - here is a closer look at each one of those wallets. Below are full fleshed out reviews of each wallet - giving you close ups, pricing and all of the detailed answers to your questions. It hasn't replaced my number one, but if I had to have a super close "affordable" runner up - this would be it. Razor Wallet by Dee Christopher and Penguin Magic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i85DNVf_bxY Lastly, here are some wallets that didn't quite make the cut. I've had and used these wallets over the years, but the ones below either never made it into my long standing working routines or I have ended up selling or giving away SansMinds Wallet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxZ8CpxGJ6k Vader Wallet - Matthew Wright & Ellusionist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7heRYuDKs90 Complete Peek Wallet by Tony Miller https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK49YtKgfpc THANK YOU !!! |

Depends on what kind of peek you are doing honestly. I love the viper wallet. My saw though is my everyday wallet. Love that peek ha.

Ok, but if you could only own the Viper or the Infinity, which would you buy?

Viper is ONLY a peek wallet ... infinity has a peek and so much more.
Viper is small and easy to carry Infinity is a big bulky wallet you'll use as your every day wallet Pick the one that works for YOU and YOUR budget |

Thanks for the reply and for posting the review videos in the first place. I get the impression that you’d personally rather have both. The Viper seems a bit pricey for "only a peek wallet" so I just purchased The Ultimate Networking Tool from Penguin, as I had some other things I was purchasing and how bad could it be for ten bucks? Hopefully I’ll be playing with that next week and if all goes well with that, I’m probably going to pick up the Infinity in the next couple weeks.

Check out the new REGAL COP WALLET before you purchase, even thought it's sold as a card to wallet - you can do a super easy peek with it as well

Do you feel there's an advantage of the Regal wallet over the Razor?

Gotta love the price on this one. So if I'm seeing this right, this does a Card to Wallet and also has a solid peek feature. How obvious is the peek?
I just got The Ultimate Networking Tool and I think it's a pretty clever idea even though the peek feature is rather large and fairly visible, but seeing as the person you're performing for probably has no idea what a peek wallet is, I suspect it's actually no more visible than a TT. Time will tell. |

Peek is the same on REGAL COP WALLET - it's just a real man's wallet instead of a business card wallet

Ah, that's truly useful information, thank you for that. I really do like the ideas behind the Ultimate Networking Tool, so I think I'll give myself some time to play with it before I start looking at additional concepts. Learn one trick at a time, learn it well...and then move on. Better to know 5 tricks really well, than 100 that you fumble through.

A question for people who have experience with peek wallets in general. When working with a wallet that has a rather large & potentially obvious w*ndow, such as The Ultimate Networking tool, how worrisome is the chance of flashing said w*ndow during performance?
The more I look at that cool little card wallet the more worrisome it becomes. I’m assuming it’s a similar concept to getting used to a TT. The first time I saw a TT, I dismissed it as one of the silliest things I’d ever seen because how could people possibly NOT see it? Now it’s one of my absolute favorite tools and I've never been caught out with it, even when people think they know what they’re looking for. |

You can do a paddle move - similar to showing both sides of a card, only doing it with the wallet instead. It gives the illusion that both sides are shown.
The better thing is to put it into your top jacket or shirt pocket - catch your peek as it goes by and it goes into the pocket. You reveal And go on to your next trick. It never needs to come back out to be examined. |

A quick mention for a new kid on the block, the Shadow Wallet. I really like this and am using it now as my everyday wallet.
It’s minimal in design, which seems to be the way forward now in wallet design. I carry my business cards in the front section and use Dee’s lovely peek method which I believe he also shared with the Razor wallet. Sleek, modern and totally practical.

Being a avid enthusiast I mainly perform down the pub or for friends, family and the work environment. I started with SAW and will still use it.
Of late Shadow wallet has become my favorite wallet. I luv the effects that come with it. My "lucky card" routine using the outs of the Shadow gets fantastic reactions. But the bonus routine by Lewis Le'Val "memory box" (which was to justify putting the business card back into the wallet) was just outstanding. I performed it for my teenage grand daughter and it got such a wonderful reaction, it was a priceless moment for me. Not being a pro, getting top notch routines with a prop is such a bonus. I'm awaiting to see if Nexus is a must buy. Mainly due to the card load. Another routine I have so much success with is James Brown's Cerebral Steal so the card load would be the bonus. Whats the best, well that's very subjective. I would not be adverse to carrying 2 minimalist wallets. With the Shadow you get the peek getting another card out or not. Being my personal wallet with money in it, I find people far less likely to grab it if I just place it on the bar, or simple get the peek putting it back in my pocket if I think the crowd are rowdy. Not an unnatural thing to do with a wallet :) Of course Blink 2 is another wonderful release from a real pro. If you only want a peek, well it does that very very well For me right now, Shadow and its routines are top. But I could end up carrying Nexus as well. We'll see after Craig's review. |
