I don’t post a lot of my own videos much anymore as I like to better showcase and talk about others here, but I’ve got quite a few requests recently to show a little something. So, this is something I do for people wherever I go. I’ve shown it to a few here but thought you all might like a peek too. A lot of little nuances going on here, including one of the very best changes of a coin you’ll ever see…looks just like real magic, or so I’ve been told.
You can imagine if I was standing doing this as I usually do…It just ain’t fair! Anyway, hope you like it…

Appreciate the kind words here and via all the PMs. And so, no I never put this out there. It was just something I came to do over the years of playing with all that I found out there.
Things just become comfortable to you and before you know it, they are a part of your usual fare. I like it because it has a little bit of everything in it as to coin magic. And again, when doing this standing and moving around, it just ain’t fair. Plus, it’s fun to do on the spot and to get people to zoom in on your set. I remember once a guy in the supermarket behind the deli counter, just smiling as he some other watched me do it. He just shook his head and said, “The closer your watch, the less you see.” Yep!
Thanks again guys, glad you like it. ![]()

Paul Wilson has a very nice gaffless Three Fly, published in Genii (July 1999). I wasn't familiar with Paul until I came across a three fly thread in the Genii Forums. Thank you to those who pointed folks in Paul's direction.

Thanks G, I’ve seen this one and very nice to see gaffless 3 Flys, and I think that’s the way they should be really. It’s the way it was first presented and the way many have pursued this fingertip version of coins across, including me in my own Fly-Ski version. I remember a version of a gaffed 3 Fy I liked a lot but the basic routine by Chris Kenner, Ménage Et Trois is still hard to beat, IMHO.
*Oh, here’s some further background on the effect from a wonderful reference site on the art, so that you know the rest of the story…

An old friend sent this to me when he came across it from an old download I put out many years ago now. He said he still does it.
It truly shows the versatility of this move and the little nuances I put around it as I did initially when using a coin. It really made me smile as such magic on the spot still always does.

Here’s yet another wonderful magician, and his coin magic here reminded me of when coin guys were so into not showing any movement of the fingers when vanishing a coin. Some were quite snobbish about it as they felt any slight movement of the fingers would give the vanish away and essentially make it less-than. I never thought so as specs don’t see as much of this stuff as magicians find themselves thinking they do. Anyway, this guy does this better than most I’ve ever seen, the sheer technicality of it makes it look like real magic to me… how about you?

Lol! I posted this a few month ago.

After this impressive collection of Coin Magic videos, I almost did not expect to be able to contribute something new. About Juan Colas, there seems to be not much coinmagic you can buy. This is the other one I found: So if somebody is interested in this move, I recommend the one coin routine. It is significantly cheaper. The move is explained. Bisagra costs considerably more and, in my opinion, offers no corresponding added value. |

Yes, I see that.
I thought I might’ve seen a post about Juan Colas here, but it was from Oct/2023. But y’know, I’m aways happy to see such good magic again & again. There’s just so much of it that goes unheralded/ unrecognized, as this string has shown. If you leave it to a few, you’ll see only what they think is good. So, posting on this guy again is more than worth it, and plus, that vanish is just sick! ![]()

This is a quickie, you might even say “espresso,” a good friend here made me aware of, but it is quite amazing. Now, I’ve seen similar but this one is especially smooth & stealth. And again it is by a worker you might not know much if anything about but he is quite exceptional. Here, check for yourself… WOW!!!

Awesome. Spain seems to be the hotspot of magic in Europe.
Her is another matrix reinterpreted you might like: |

One of the best 'matrix' style routines I have seen. So direct and clean (once you work out what he is doing). Brilliant thinking.

I was sure that I had already seen the routine. And I had even posted it in this thread.

I feel the similar way, so it's a nice example of how small changes in handling and presentation influence the impact. |

One of the most beautiful Matrix routines I have seen.
Matrix by Luis Olmedo - FISM 2022 Quebec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1f0gpriG50 It's a lot of fun to watch these guys. All four are Spanish. I think this Spanish school of magic is really something special. Close Up with Mario Lopez, Luis Olmedo, Juan Colas and Rubi Ferez - FISM 2022 Quebec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCUSGKHfCJ8 |

This "extended matrix" reminded me of an "extended shadow coins". Probably the best I've seen so far, but watch yourself:
