Hi Folks. I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. I have a memory of watching someone perform a version of the Benson Bowl with a 'meditation bowl' - where they struck the bowl with the beater on the way. It was a nice routine as I recall, but I can't for the life of me remember who performed it so I can look it up to watch again. Can anyone help me out please? Thanks!

Perhaps you are remembering one of Jeff McBride's versions of the "Benson Bowl". Jeff uses the meditation bowl as the bowl in his stand-up comedy routine "Bravo-a Squeaky Clean Ball and Bowl Routine". However he does not using the singing or sounding property of the bowl in that routine. If I am remembering correctly (after 7 or 8 years), Jeff does discuss the bowl on the DVD whereon he teaches his comedy routine. I could be misremembering.

Curtis Kam has a Benson-ish routine in his Reel Magic lecture.

Curtis Kam's routine is a 3-ball routine which is quite different than a Benson Bowl routine, but it does use a meditation bowl.
