Profile of Jack Straw
One of the guitar greats, co-founder of Fleetwood Mac and composer of Black Magic Woman, which most people seem to think was written by Carlos Santana, gone at the age of 73.

Alexa is treating me to a Peter Green festival today.
Jack Straw from Wichita, cut his buddy down
And dug for him a shallow grave, and laid his body down
Half a mile from Tucson, by the morning light
One man gone and another to go, my old buddy you're moving much too slow
We can share the women, we can share the wine

Great guitarist, and co-founder of Fleetwood Mac (initially billed as “Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac featuring (guitarist) Jeremy Spencer.”

B.B. King once said Green “has the sweetest tone I ever heard. He was the only one who gave me the cold sweats.”

According to Mick Fleetwood: “Peter was asked why did he call the band Fleetwood Mac. He said, ‘Well, you know I thought maybe I’d move on at some point and I wanted Mick and John (McVie) to have a band.’ End of story, explaining how generous he was.”

RIP.

Solid performance of Peter Green composition "Oh Well" by Fleetwood Wac:

His famous '59 Les Paul was owned by Gary Moore for many years and played on a lot of his famous songs and with Thin Lizzy, Kirk Hammett from Metallica owns it now. If anyone cares Smile

Let’s not forget that Peter Green composed Albatross in 1968, which remains Fleetwood Mac's only number-one hit in the UK Singles Chart and which was the inspiration to the Beatles' Sun King on their 1969 album Abbey Road.
