Use the search function, this is one of the most discussed topics in this forum. I like Tommy Wonders routine. It's short, sweet, funny, magical and mysterious.

I heard of a version of the ambitious card routine whilst not pure as it were because it uses gaffs and ends with a deck switch for a one way force deck has a really great story and is very well structured.

It's called the Caravaggio Card, keep your eye out for it in the future.

Tamariz has a very nice AC routine with TWO cards. It's called "Doubly Ambitious" and it's in in his tapes. Clever subtleties.

I've been using Bill Malones "I Don't Even Have A Pocket" version for a while now. It works for me. It's in his "On the Loose" dvds.

Re: "the Caravaggio Card, "

Please have a look in the recent thread on 'too perfect theory'. It takes the premise in similar direction. Smile

And agreed, it's ALL about the presentation/effect and not about the moves. all the coins I've dropped here

Jahn Gallo has an interesting routine for the Ambitious Card. He uses no DL's for the whole routine. It also has a nice ending with a rubber band placed around the deck and hand, and with a quick motion, the card appears on top of the hand held by the rubber band.

I use the routine almost directly off of the Ammar tapes. I've experimented with all kinds of routines. Juan Tamariz has some great thinking on the effect and I performed the Doubly Ambitious for a while (I think the routine is Raphael Bennetar's) I even developed a routine using primarily top changes, but the strongest reactions have always come from the Ammar routine. So that's the one I stick with.

(Justin Hanes has a good set of notes on the ambitious. Do check them out.)

Rather than have duplicate threads throughout the Café, I suggest you go to the "sticky" topic listed at the top of this forum and continue your discussion there.
No trees were killed in the making of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
