Recently had a mailing from Mentalisty about this new release. In the words of the creator:
Banksy is an effect that I have performed over the years. It allows you to seemingly read their mind or predict a randomly thought of word. It seems totally fair… Or is it? The routine is structured around influence. This routine works because of the structured linguistics. It allows you to restrict the spectator into a limited amount of words to choose from, without seeming to be restrictive. Have you ever been asked to perform. But you don't have anything on you? This effect can be performed anywhere at any time. I have been performing this over Skype, Zoom, in close up ... even on stage. It really is versatile! I feel that where ever you are in your journey with mentalism, you will be able to perform this effect! More details can be found here. So much can be achieved through the use of linguistics but it has to be done subtly and 'fairly.' https://mentalistry.com/products/video-d......-casper/ |

Curious if the person actually needs to be familiar with Banksy's art. Myself I'm only able to name maybe 2 or 3 pieces of his.

Hey PaulGee, you don't need to know about Banksy.... though I heard that if you do, people will think you're cool

Banksy likes to surround himself in mystery and this release also seems to be surrounded in mystery. When the effect was released, I asked a question to which I got no reply.

I'd actually prefer if this revolved around Banksy's artworks. My circle of friends are the artsy types. and it would preferable if this product was a result of Casper's analysis of the Banksy works and structuring a routine to use a force/anagram to deduce a particular artwork/motif.

There's also a Banksy-themed trick by Sultan Al Qasimi in the August 2020 issue of Genii (Michael Carbonaro on cover).
It's themed around Girl With Balloon, the self-shredding painting. |

15-20 years ago I had a layover at...Heathrow or Gatwick...and went into a W.H. Smith's. Found a book called "Banksy" - autobiography of the great English goalkeeper, Gordon Banks. Bought it and read it. Great book!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Purchased this after seeing the reaction videos.
Not had time to watch the whole video but you are leading them to a couple of choices of word so may need to have some outs ready. |
