Great track by Edgar Winter’s White Trash. I used to play this song with a 7-piece South African cover band in 1973 (trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax, bass, drums, guitar and keyboards).
Got to see the Edgar Winter Group live as a 4-piece band in Boston, probably 1974 or ’75 (with Dan Hartman on bass and Rick Derringer on guitar). Loudest concert I’ve ever attended! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka8fJbDK95M&feature=emb_logo |

Dude, this is some funkzilla. You must have had a blast playing this!
I have limited exposure to funk but I really love the all bass grooves I've ever heard and that brass on this track. My limited knowledge of funk is some Parliment and, oddly enough, Buckethead and his playing with Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell. Thanks for sharing, this is a jam. Here's a little Red Hot Mama tribute: https://youtu.be/a41e_4HwltU
