Morning All!
I'm a list maker. I like collecting bullet point advice, sayings, quotes, witticisms and so on. Wanted to throw it out for input, what would you say your top 5 business standards of behavior? Not sure how to word it right, "If you want to be a pro, these are the best standards to adhere to." Examples that I've thought about: -Early is the only way to be. On time is late. Better an hour early than 1 minute late -Write stuff down -Honor your commitments -Deliver more than expected Make sense? Just a bullet point type list of your "Top 5 commandments of being a professional" More business advice than "do good tricks" |

My first thought too? I could never narrow it to only 5.

I could list several too but I can probably share the best advice you will ever get in one quote from my ole buddy Zig:
“You Can Have Anything In Life You Want If You Will Just Help Enough Others Get What They Want” --Zig Ziglar 1. Adapt/Apply That Approach To Your Business And You Will Be Way Ahead Of Most. 2. Learn To ‘Do It Now” 3. “Don’t Be Afraid To ASK” 4. "Don’t Be Afraid To Say I’m Sorry” (You will make mistakes) 5. “Have Fun” Tom

If you've got more than 5 bring it, I'm listening. |

For this context, one of my favorites would be from Dr. Deming (Quality Management Guru from 1950s on...)
"There is no instant pudding." Meaning you can't just drop something new into your business and expect results. It takes time to implement, refine, and get to work. I like it because it also applies to magic...to have a good effect you have to put the time in (and I'm a lazy magician, so it helps remind me to put in the practice)
"Imagination is more important than knowledge."
