I typically don't care for this effect, but this looks pretty good. I'm just wondering about the performing angles?
What do you think? https://www.stevensmagic.global/product/......griffin/ |

Don't have this, but guessing the angles are decent because of how you hold things. Of course I'm also assuming that while the can can be examined afterwards, the box cannot, so you're going to have to make sure no one can grab the box (especially the top).

I wonder how close up your audience can be?

I always liked shinny plastic with glitter and sparkles version. I bought two from Tannens years and years ago. I still have one. They were parlor sized illusions. I still have one. The other one broke. They were delicate and flimsy made. I just bought this version. It looks like it is made well and it is a direct, clean illusion.

I wish we can see a full demo without cuts. It seems like there are cuts in the demo anyway.

One second you see the Coke can with writing on it under the black cover then there is a cut in the demo and now the can is solid red. There has to be some other things happening that are not being shown.

Years ago I had a really nice version of this I can't remember who made it but it had two metal blades that you put through the box to show that it penetrated the Coke can and then you pulled the blades out then the Coke can undamaged it was very nice and made very easy to use.

I remember decades ago seeing a guy do this at a party. If I ever got it, which I never did, I had the idea to do a little bit with it that made the audience think they saw something tricky. So, when holding the can I would hold it suspiciously like my hand is trying to always cover the middle part. Then do the effect and when I would pull it out also hold it suspiciously but then put it down and realize they are not suppose to see what they are seeing: the can would have thin black stripes at the section that supposedly got cut and moved. I would feign that they caught how it was done then say something about it not being possible, but I always do the impossible and I would peel the black stripes that are just thin pieces of electric tape. Then pop the can and give it away.
Just a thought I had many years ago, use it if you think it fits your style. Greg

Greg that is a pretty good idea you have there. It definitely would add an extra level of entertainment and after all that's what we are all about. Thanks for sharing that.
