A thread already exists for this (started just 2 days ago, with exactly zero additional comments), but I know that you need to sell more rather than less, so go ahead and start your own thread.
But there is limited stock available, so hurry up and order. This is great for virtual performances!

Virtual performances? Mr straw, Hope you’re not into comedy magic because you’re really not that funny. Looks good to me. This could definitely freak people out.

Sarcasm is lost on some people, Mr Effecto.
There's a lot of talk on here these days about effects that are good on video, because, let's face it, any performers here are not really performing these days. There is an existing thread on this already. Why does this one exist? It's a blatant unpaid advertisement for Nate to sell this. Although I guess every thread here is an unpaid ad. Please go ahead and buy this and tell us your opinion on it. I'm not spending $100 on it without your recommendation.

This does interest me.
Things will get back to normal before I die. But I'm long done taking chances on things I read about here, especially for a Franklin. I've been around long enough to know what the purpose of this forum is. If people that I trust say good things, I'd consider it. Glad to see you're a wingman on this, Mr Effecto. Please let us know! And it's funny how the thread that was started two days ago died without a trace. Since it's back in stock, who knows if there's an even older thread out there.

For those "already a thread" posts, I've been a victim of this myself.
Many times a search does NOT show something already here, so, a repost. |

Trailer shows NOTHING! Would like to see an actual performance.

Was that even a trailer? I just see someone pick up some blocks of wood. Why you wouldn’t even have a live performance is beyond me, other than it’s rubbish and aren’t confident in anyone actually being fooled by it.

There was a full performance on the Vanishing Inc site yesterday, but I could not get the link to work this morning. Did not see the performance video on
Nathan's site. I'll admit, I am intrigued. Several different angles you could take on presentation. The only thing that concerns me is the ad copy that suggests it be on your shelf as a collector's piece for a non-performer. That being said, I have some other products from Orange Tree Magic and the quality is really top notch. |

On Sep 15, 2020, pegasus wrote: To pegasus, I live in China and have a set of Less Is More. I can understand your concern, so let me explain a few things here. First, this trick ISN'T rubbish, it's Pure Gold! I might even jokingly say that this kind of trick should be BANNED from a magician's repitore. It's so simple to do, but the effect is so deeply stunning that this is just not fair. We practice all different kinds of cards sleights, coin moves, production skills etc., yet, the result you get from Less Is More can be more effective and memorable than those sleight-heavy tricks we work so hard to master. Tricks like Less Is More make magicians lazy!! There are two reasons why the first trailer "didn't show anything". The first is that it's difficult to shoot a trailer for a cerebral kind of effect. I mean, the REAL effect is all in their minds. And with Less is More, the reaction you get from the spectator is probabaly not a screaming type kind of reaction. They are deeply stunned, and this may look like "they don't have much reaction" on video. However, that's just my thoughts. Maybe you are right, a few performance shots may be helpful. The second reason, however, has something to do with how this trick is released. Joe Deng has kept this trick to himself for several years, and performed it on his lecture tours and shows in China. A lot of people has seen it, and they asked him to release it. I even know some people, upon learning the secret, try to make their own set of wood blocks. So it's kind of like a signiture piece of Joe Deng, and he doesn't have to worry about Chinese people not knowing what the effect is. This trick is first and mostly sold in China. The first 60 units are instantly sold out within the first half hour they hit the market. So yeah, he didn't prepare an oversea, more "clear" version of trailer, because this came later. As for the price, well..., this depend on how you view it's value, and how much you are willing to spend on tricks. I respect all your decisions for yourself. All I can say is that Less Is More is very easy to do (manually I mean, good performing skill is certainly a big plus if you have it). It's based on a very clever principle, so clever that all the people I know who learned the secret, including me, are interested to try out. When Joe performed this on his shows, he always choose the VIP guest to be the spectator for this trick. It is just that strong. And I remember some of them came back to him, years later, commenting what a great hypnotist he is. Yeah, tricks like this can make magicians lazy and think they are greater somehow. |

I personally enjoyed the style of trailer, cerebral music for a cerebral effect.
But it’s $99 on discount, and I’m still non the wiser on the pro’s or con’s of the effect, and I have no idea how true “it gets heavier the less you lift” actually is, it how much difference there is in weight between each block. It looks unique, but I’d love to see a full performance with laymen, so that I can weigh up their reaction to the cerebral nature of the effect. A second trailer that was a little more informative would have been nice |

It looks somewhat interesting to do at a small get together with some friends as part of a hypnosis type effect.

In the tutorial Joe recommends that you present this piece seriously, as it needs a quiter situation to let the effect really settles in. So it's probably doesn't suit a walk-around situation. I mean, carry three wood pieces with you when you do street magic or restaurant magic does seem a little bit... too much. |

The tutorial is short, but it tells everything you need to know about this effect. There is really not much need to be said once you learned the secret. As I mentioned above, the "cons", for me (if you call it "con"), is that this is inherently not a carry-around piece. The blocks can off course be taken around easily, you just put them in your bag. But the nature of this effect kind of render it more suitable for formal performances, and when you have guests come over to your house. As for the shift in weight change that the spectators feels. The first change in weight, I'll say it's "noticeable". The second change, "clearly heavier". Just my feel, but I think most people who try it will agree on this. |

I've purchased as I'm familiar with the concept. Reminds me of the three matchboxes...
Very clever and look forward to using. |

Hey guys! And gals! There isn’t really a demo video because there isn’t much to see. The short clips you see on the video are basically exactly what happens.
There are three blocks of wood which can be examined by audience members before performing the illusion. They are stacked up on the table you have the spectator reach out and pick up three blocks then pick up two and then pick up just one The less they pick up the heavier at FEELS!!!. The illusion is great. And there are limitless amounts of presentation Possibilities!!! That’s exactly right. This is based on the old illusion done with three match boxes. This is simply done with three blocks of wood that have been handcrafted and Specifically made so they are the perfect weight for the illusion https://kranzomagic.myshopify.com/produc......joe-deng
