Brent hit it a home run with this one...I got mine today and absolutely love it! The quality is superb, the slim dimensions are perfect, and the loading is super-easy. Normally, I will load cards into my back pocket, but found that it was equally easy using my front pocket. Also, while I'm generally not a big fan of money clips, I actually like some of the applications that it can be used for. I told one of my magic friends that this was a STEAL at $60.00 and I'm being honest. This wallet is going to fly off Penguin's shelves!

You're most welcome Leo. If you follow my comments on this thread you know that I always call 'em like I see them...Products that deserve high-praise will get exactly that, but others that I am less enthusiastic about I will say how I feel. I've owned nearly every card to wallet released over the past 20-year. Some are better at doing certain things than others. For example, I will continue to use my Kap's wallet for strolling gigs because I wear a jacket and I find that it's easier to load and remove a card in a wallet from my inner breast pocket. But, for casual situations the FPS is outstanding. I would say it's equally on par with the Rebel Wallet. My choice of which to use would be determined by whether I wanted the card or prediction etc. to be removed from an envelope. But as an "everyday" carry, the FPS may finally be what I've been searching for. It really does check all the boxes.

Got this in the mail yesterday. Overall I'm satisfied with the look and feel of this, and it's going to be my new everyday wallet. Started watching the instructional video last night, and I really like the fact that my ID can be used to assist the loading, as I feared the window pocket would be dedicated for magic only.

So has it been established that it's just as easy to load if you wish to do a top palm and yet have the card appear with the back showing in the window?
I know people may say yes its easy, you just turn the wallet over BUT is it more difficult to load this way? Turning the wallet over can often make the loading more difficult which means it takes more time or can't be done in a front pocket, or are there other limitations, etc.? Ideally, I would like to load via top palm with wallet in front pocket and have the card appear face down in the window. When Brett does this the card appears face up which makes me think it's faster and easier with the wallet positioned to have the card appear face up. |

Tim is correct.
The FPS loads as easily faceup as it does facedown. I’ve even heard some people say they find it easier to load facedown. Because in your front pocket the slide will be against your body and there really isn’t any place else for the card to go accept into the wallet. That being said I load it both ways depending on the routine and the flow. We show it faceup in the demo because of the pacing of the demo. I wanted it to be immediately obvious that the signed card really is in the wallet. This was a decision made about aesthetics for the demo only and not about loading speed. As I mentioned in my video I posted here earlier. This wallet loads really fast, some of that is due to design but some of that is also due to me teaching you the techniques that I have developed, refined and taught over the last 20 years. When you understand these small subtle tips I think you will be able to load just about any wallet twice as fast with no fear of missing. I hope that helps, Brent Braun |

Brent was kind enough to show me back in May or June when I visited the shop. The wallet is nice and fits the modern minimalistic style. You can tell he took the time and care to fully develop the wallet. I like bill fold wallets and never wear my wallet in front, so it’s not for me, but if you like that style, you can’t go wrong with the FPS wallet. The teaching tutorial is also very good, and has great tips for loading slide style wallets.

Anyone figured out how to load a card in the wallet whilst your ID is in there but without using the ID as a slide, or am I being stupid. Not that it matters, my ID works perfectly well as the slide

For what it's worth. I'm using my driver's license in place of the slide now and it works terrific. You could pretty much hand this wallet to a spectator and they probably wouldn't figure it out through a casual inspection. I am also carrying this wallet daily now, which is something that I've been wanting to do for the past 25-years, but could never find a suitable magician's wallet that met my needs in terms of functionality and appearance.

But I can see the other side too where it could possibly get them thinking down the right road. I guess it’s a judgment call. But whether in front or behind, face up or face down, it’s always nice to have options. |

I'm comfortable loading a card into my back pocket. If I want to load a card into a wallet in my back pocket, should I conclude that this wallet isn't the best option for me?

I am mostly a jeans wearer and I just don't have enough room in my front pockets to comfortably do it there. I am working on it. Maybe Levis just have smaller pockets (?) I use my License as the slide and it flys right in my back pocket. |

For all you poor people who does not hang out with the rich and famous, the reason why men carry their wallets in the front pocket is so that pick pockets do not steal their wallets in vacation areas.
The real thief's find a mark, notice the wallet is in the back pocket, take a sharp straight razor, walk behind you, and slice your pants below your wallet. The wallet then fall out. They really don't care about you, so in many cases you start falling to the ground and bleed to death, because they cut an artery as well. The bill clip is a tell, that you have a lot of cash, they see all those hundred dollar bills and know you would be a good "MARK" steal from. My best advice is don't flash you cash to everyone. This is the best reason I know of why you carry your wallet in the front pocket. |
