I live in the Pacific Northwest. None of them would work for magic, but I am amazed by the wildlife that is wandering my house these days and nights. First, I have my magic rabbits and ducks in the yard.
Now the lots is inundated with squirrels, gray and black. The black ones, said to be from Canada, are more aggressive. All of them are pretty entertaining and goofy. Then there is the mother skunk. She wanders the yard in the early morning and early evening. The other day I walked off my deck, ran into her, knocked her rear over tea kettle and she then looked me in the eye while she sprayed in the other direction (nice of her) then she ran off. She is tiny and very cute, but smelly as heck. Even though she did not spray me, and I was 20 feet away, the mist is such I had to change my clothes. I never realized how much like a weasel they are in appearance except we see her closeup quite a bit. Then an hour or two later at night the "beautiful possum" wanders by. Not really so beautiful, but one we have watched grow from a tyke. They are the strangest looking "large rat" looking creatures you will find. This one is a bit better looking than the usual possum, or so we think. Later at night, the racoons come around, anywhere from 1 to 5 of them. If a person could harness all these animals in my backyard, into a show, one would have one heck of an act. The downside is, I have to be very careful with the "magic" ducks or the crafty racoons will break into the pen and eat them. Other than that, the skunk tries to dig in each night to get any eggs the ducks layed that I have missed. Then the other problem is the skunk now seems to be having conflicts at night that are waking up the neighbors. Quite the life in the city. Anyone want a non-descented skunk for their act. You would only do it for pay ONCE. I guarantee it. quack |
