I used to change £20’s into 50’s with extreme burn and we are just waiting for the plastic £50’s to come out here . That will probably be doable Gaz 🙂

So what are they? The items all have to be the same size, it was designed to change say 1 dollars into 50's. When it was released this caused a real problem for people around the world like the UK because our bills are not all the same size. So what did we do? We looked for other items like lottery tickets to change them in to money. There is a problem though lottery tickets are not the same sizes as our money so they had to be cut down to size. There is then the problem if someone asked to see a ticket before the change they could well comment that it is not a full ticket and has been cut down. You may say that has never happened to you but it is a fact the tickets you would have to use are not the standard size and you have learned to live with that. The other option is to use receipts but they don't come in the correct size either (and you need them all the same size) so they have to be cut down or you go out and buy fake receipts made of Tyvek which again can't be examined before the change because they are not genuine. This again is something you have learned to live with and will say it has never caused you a problem but it is a short coming. Another option is to find bills of a similar size and trim the larger one down but again they can't be examined fully due to them being trimmed and people may well notice that. For countries with differing size currency if you want to change up in size and value Pay Day is the answer. Nothing is fake, the bills are all 100% real, you don't have to use fake receipts or cut down lottery tickets as you can see in the trailer you can even use packets or papers larger than the bills you are changing to. You are obviously happy with the variation you are performing so you don't need Pay Day, but if someone has a routine or need where they want to change a £10's to £20's or any other currency differing in size then Pay Day is what they need. You may not have a need to change up in size and value but it does not mean others may not want to do so and I hope you can see what is new and different with Pay Day, we are not disputing what Extreme Burn can do but it has limitations. I am actually quite surprised that you dismiss the clear benefit for others of being able to change up in size and value even though you personally feel no need to do so.

No Mark not at all I would be interested to see this , I’m just saying the reactions I get are so fantastic from extreme burn that it’s a tough act to follow and I would be amazed if all round weighing everything up it could be bettered . I often do £20 notes to Iraqi Dinas as it’s a great colour change and the notes are pretty much identical in size and a great story line can be had with foreign currencies before the change .
Or the the Zimbabwe 300 trillion dollar green note the largest produced note ever has a great patter sequence . I am sure Pay Day is great and I am looking forward to seeing one up close and personal but I don’t think its fair when you are almost saying extreme burn has so many limitations which literally aren’t there especially if you give it some thought . Richard Sanders is a genius and if Thomas has stood on the shoulders of a giant then all power to him and like I say I look forward to seeing it . There are multiple changes in extreme burn and doing the twirl turnover change you don’t even fold the notes . Push all the the plus points and negatives of pay day to not just the plus points as all you have done here is pushed negatives of EB which don’t really exist of if they do they are easily overcome . Good luck with this release Gaz 🙂 |

I have done it myself for years and there are a number of great visual changes possible. You say the limitations can be got over with some thought (which means compromising somewhere) but they are limitations and you have thought of a way to get over them, but they don't go away even though you dismiss them as limitations. I keep saying what Pay Day can do that Extreme Burn can't, please understand this is Pay Day not Extreme Burn so it won't handle or look the same. You can obviously compare the two and people will decide if size changing is important to them, they do a similar effect but Pay Day solves the size problem with Extreme Burn which has been there for many since it's release.

Ok Mark it’s that you mention the windows as being a limitation for extreme burn when that is infact a big plus ?
Anyway back to Payday what are the cons / limitations with this as there must be some . Regards Gaz 🙂 |

As far as cons compared to Extreme Burn you can't do the nice flat open visual changes you can with Extreme Burn, but Pay Day still offers great visuals. The pros I have already mentioned and they outway the cons for me which is why I now use Pay Day for a real genuine money to money change in actual physical size and value.

Mark thanks for adding the cons It’s appreciated , my assumption for thinking you thought the windows were a problem on extreme burn was based on your quote on page 1 of this thread .
“ Thomas Sealey has taken the classic effect ‘Extreme Burn’ and truly pushed it to the EXTREME. Some genius thinking and a brand new versatile gimmick with a self opening feature solves all the modern day problems with plastic money, TRANSPARENT WINDOWS and different sizes that have had you pulling your hair out! “ The transparent windows are actually a major step forward with using plastic money with extreme burn , hardly the number 1 problem that Pay Day is trying to solve . Makes no sense at all unless you are making your gimmick up wrong imho Gaz 🙂 |

I feel a bit like a broken record to keep repeating this, the main thing is being able to change sizes which you can't do with Extreme Burn. If changing sizes is of no use to you and you are happy using fake receipts, cut down lottery tickets, other currency the same size or papers then that's fine, whatever works for you.

Well Mark if you played your record the first time correctly and not listed it as your number 1 major flaw with existing methods like Extreme Burn you wouldn’t get pulled up on it .
The worst thing is why mention it at all particularly when it’s a major plus , that’s where you went wrong . Leave that bit out completely if you wish but don’t put people buying a great product like EB by stating something so totally untrue . I will make this as clear as mud , Pay Day may or may not be a great effect let’s wait for honest reviews from actual buyers not dealers . I though can categorically tell everyone here that Extreme Burn can easily be made in plastic notes of any currency and plastic currency with windows majorly enhances the effect and the illusion . So you can turn a complete blind eye to Marks description on page one of this thread when he is talking about plastic notes being a negative for Extreme Burn . Ok now continue with Pay Day please Gaz 🙂 |

You are also the one who has capitalised the words TRANSPARENT WINDOWS I did not emphasize that at all it was just included in a normal sentance in normal case and size.. I can say with hand on heart a lot of customers have said they don't like Extreme Burn with Polymer bills and transparent windows have caused them problems. You may have overcome this by scoring bills and taping them so they don't fall apart etc, I wonder if that is taught in the instructions, I don't recall it. As you say please lets talk about Pay Day and what it brings new to the market. We keep talking about money changes but the packets changes are really good also.

For the first time ever, you're able to transform ANY currency into, well, practically ANY currency.... And, even change it back... instantly. Juan Pablo's Size Does Matter wasn't released that long ago. https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S28711 How is this better/different? |

Mark plastic notes were not in the UK when Extreme Burn was released and you know that so of course it’s not on the tutorial . The biggest names in magic in the UK came up with the remedy for the plastic notes and you know that too . No scores are visible at all and nor is any tape and you know that too . I highlighted the transparent window bit because it was the number one problem it says it overcomes from Extreme Burn .
Well if any magicians don’t know or have problems constructing these they can feel free to pm me ( with proof of purchase of course ) . Also I am prettty sure you used to make up extreme burn for customers too in the past . Ok you accidentally copied and pasted a flawed ad copy I forgive you but it’s hard to pull the wool over my eyes unintentionally or not . I look forward to seeing this new effect in the flesh Gaz 🙂 |

I never said it was the number one problem, it was first mentioned in a sentence of problems people do have with money changes, the sentence did not mention all these things relate to Extreme Burn (they may or may not). You have however just confirmed that Extreme Burn if purchased will not teach you how to do it with Polymer bills. So actually even though you have overcome the problem, if someone purchases Extreme Burn today it will not enable someone without your knowledge to perform with Polymer out of the box in which case Pay Day does solve all those problems.

I'm looking forward to it. I'm from Brazil, where we have notes from different sizes.
It would be great to change from R$ 2 to R$ 100, which is not possible with EB. I was never a fan of changing from lottery tickets or blank paper. Cheers! |

Mark you don’t know or obviously don’t have any experience then and have never seen it made and done in polymer notes . Its even examinable the way I perform it and how Richard shows in EB 2.0 .
I will post a video to you or anyone who wants one of the actual notes and how clean the handling is . It’s actually even better with polymer notes than with paper notes . You are talking utter nonsense you really are . Anyone email me with proof of purchase and I will send you an un edited performance and also of the notes 🙂 pm me for my email as I am not allowed to post it on an open forum . I will leave it now and let you continue with this product but you really have been an absolute embarrassment on this thread and obviously have never seen extreme burn performed and examined with UK plastic notes . I find that unbelievable and also very surprising Gaz 🙂 |

Hi Gaz,
How can I change €10 euro notes to €50 euro notes with EB? Thanks |
|||||||||
Gaz Lawrence Inner circle 5991 Posts |
Rodrigo if you read the thread fully you will understand fully my friend . That isn’t the point me and Mark are debating and if you read it fully you will understand it .
The main advertising campaign of this effect ( if you read it ) is centred around plastic notes not working well will extreme burn because of three things . 1) the transparent window make this unworkable 2) construction is hard because they don’t fold and align 3) you can’t change different sized notes without cutting them down Well point 1) is the complete opposite as the window makes the illusion 10x better so is an utter garbage statement . Point 2 ) construction is simple and they lay beautifully flat and work even better in plastic notes than paper , so again utter nonsense . Point 3 ) I never disputed and if read the thread you would know all this . Best wishes Gaz 🙂 |

I have seen an EB with polymer notes and also been shown how to make it.
Gaz is correct it is completely possibly and looks great. There is nothing to worry about once you know how. I don't know what problems with EB PayDay is meant to solve really, unless snack packet to money was a thing I didn't know about. |
