Hi all,
I'm after a little help. I remember seeing an old Magic Café YouTube video by one of our members quite a few years ago and recall how enjoyable it was, but I have spent all afternoon trying to locate it with various searches to no avail. My recollection of the exact routine is a little vague after all this time, but seem to recall the routine being seated at a table and possibly utilising two jumbo coins, a copper and a silver. I was looking for a bit of inspiration for something I'm trying to put together myself and I'm sure many members that have not seen it before would also enjoy seeing it. If anyone has any recollection of the routine I would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks, Alan |

I forgot to mention that it also had coins very convincingly going in and out of a purse, but it is not the Garrett Thomas routine.

Man, if that’s not it, it should be. 😁
I remember seeing this years back and just sayin “WOW!” And y’know, I still feel he same way, “WOW!” 😃 Man, that is sooooo good and well done. Love watching him work, just beautiful! 😊 This is some great coin magic and definitely not your average coin routine. Some real chops right there.😉

Thanks for the reply Brian, that is it!
Sorry for the late reply, been tied up for a couple of days. Great routine and glad that other people are enjoying seeing it as well. |

GDW, where you been? 😀
This is what it looks like when you get it right the first time, and just keep building on perfection…Old or new, it’s still just EXCELLENT! 😁 This is a wonderful routine and presentation of some deceptive jumbo coin work. I love it! And the little additions to the routine make something that was already perfect, even better, and maybe even better than that. 😁 All-in-all, that is a real winner of a routine…one of the best jumbo sets I’ve seen. 👏🏽

Bravo. That was gorgeous. I love all the referential touches (the sponge ball that you throw away, the purse within a purse, etc.), and then there's the amazingly executed jumbo work.

Just saw the post for the Lost Art Magic release in Latest & Greatest. Congrats!
I thought of posting my question there, but figured this might be a little better: this looks very much like a Demanche change, or MB's Crimp Change. Is it just more work on that, or is there something novel? Nothing wrong with the former, I just want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding something. For example, I enjoy the idea of using it for a cookie bite to whole cookie, but at the same time want to make sure I don't expect something revolutionary. |

Clearly I'm missing something. The Demanche change does not involve thumb palming.
Nor does it have to be slow. Consider MB's work, as referenced: https://vinnymarini.com/download/revisited.html Rick Holcombe also does a bunch of routines with this, as do plenty of others. It's quite like a snap, and very fast. I suspect that's what the other person was asking in your L&G thread, since they appear alike from a casual watch. You're saying this is something completely different? If so, I'm excited. |

The approach with Transform is quite different, and happens more quickly still.
