This looks really cool: https://plainsightmagic.com/collections/......-pendant
Description is below. Has anyone here ever used this? Maybe a moot point because they are sold out. Anyone know if more are available elsewhere? "A fashionable accessory that transforms an age-old mystery. This gorgeous brass pendant houses an invisible mechanism for the century-old hidden gem: the Obedient Ball. Beautifully embossed with Escher-like impossibilities, it is self-contained and fully examinable. If you don’t know the secret, you won’t find it. The pendant defies gravity and curiously suspends on the chain—all at your full control. At the end, all pieces can be closely inspected both together and apart. Part puzzle and part magic, it can be presented as the sole performance piece or seamlessly joined with a longer ring-and-string routine. ◘ Self-working after you learn the secret ◘ Fully examinable at the beginning, middle, and end of the routine ◘ Completely self-contained—no parts are ever added or taken away ◘ Always prepared with no setup or reset Learn step-by-step in 13 minutes of crystal-clear instruction by Ben Goldfein in a downloadable video" |

These seem to come and go quickly. I imagine you could get an ETA if you emailed Jeff.

I have this and I like it. I bought it directly at a magic convention (not sure if it was Genii or Magic Live). It is a nice looking piece of jewelry and it does work exactly as it should. I'm not sure that I would let a spectator play with it too much as they could discover the secret. However, I just tell people that I don't really like to let my jewelry out of my hands so it hasn't been a particular problem.

Is the necklace sturdy? Will the trick work if you replace it with a more durable chain?

I think you could replace it, but you just need to make sure the chain is the correct size so that it will fit in the pendant. Thank you! |

Have this and it’s around my neck all the time believe it or not the reactions I get from this are some of the absolute best. Fantastic, so simple. I absolutely love it. The chain is just a thin ball chain like you might find on a ceiling fan, I have no doubt that you could swap it for any chain you can find that fits through the holes in the pendant.

If you go to his website and type him under "contact" he responded to me within 24 hours. If you can't get a product, you have to go to the site and look under the windows for when they are taking orders. I recently got in on one and it sold out quick.

I bought one from Jeff at one of the last conventions before Covid. It's wonderful but I've had to keep it mostly to myself for a while.
If you want one, the website listed a restock date of May 10th. While a little more than a month away, there is hope on the horizon.

The ball chain that came with my Penrose Pendant seemed a bit diminutive. I measured one of the balls with a caliper and got right around 1.8 mm. I decided to order a somewhat wider ball chain, I settled on 2.4 mm. I'm pleased to report the 2.4 mm ball chain fits the Penrose Pedant just fine and, IMHO, looks a bit better. Works fine (method).
I suspect 3 mm would be too wide but I may try it some day. I would actually prefer to use something like a stainless steel rope chain (2mm or so) but the ends of those types of chains are held together using something l ike a lobster clasp. The lobster clasp is fine, but the little ring that needs to be on the other end of the chain (for the lobster clasp to hook into) would probably be too large to fit into the holes on the Penrose Pendant. Perhaps a small enough ring could be fashioned so it fits? In the meantime, the wider ball chain is working for me. Mark

It seems people tend to look at it more as a puzzle than Magic. I suppose it's my presentation. I'll have to re-evaluate that if you're getting amazing reactions. |

As I said I do have it around my neck all the time … to the point where is is so weathered and worn that at magic live when talk g to Jeff he offered to replace it with a new one (he has changed the manufacturing and the finish on the new ones will no longer weather or become worn I personally love the worn look so I stuck with my original) as for the reactions I spoke about let me clarify. By “absolute best” I meant my favorite not “best reaction out of anything I do” also I use it very situationally basically in a “completely impromptu you fought me totally off guard I have absolutely nothing on me situation” weather that’s really the case or I have manufactured that situation I also tend to use it after doing something that Lulls the spectator into a sense of he’s not a magician he just does magic like uncle joe at thanksgiving than move into the pendant and go on from there. But yes I do get good reactions from it and it’s fun.

I wear mine (I prefer the black one) all the time. I replaced the chain with a sterling silver one as the original one started to look tacky. It was not sterling. I love this and I think it is the best purchase I have made in a long time. It is so generic and perfect for that occasion when someone says, do a trick.
