Forgot about 3M Super 77, which also works great. It adheres well, and like rubber cement will still allow the cards to be flexible.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

There is a "2 Way Glue" called ZIG (available online) that has the advantage of being either 'Permanent' or 'Temporary' (like a Post-It) depending on whether you use it wet or allow it to dry. I use it on envelopes so that they can be opened but then resealed for another performance. Not cheap but certainly versatile.
