Back in late February, I thought this pandemic would be over by late spring. I guess its good that I don't run this country Smile
So earlier this month I finally broke out of my quarantine and did a traveling live performance after taking 7 months off.
I talked briefly about the experience in my vlog here

I honestly don't think there's much difference besides:
A) preparing a bottle of hand sanitizer for each volunteers on stage. (it did throw off my timing slightly but I'm sure we will adjust)
B) I didn't find performing in a face shield or having the audiences in masks to be a problem. It barely becomes noticeable when the show kicks in.
C) I was concerned about if my audiences will be comfortable volunteering on stage. So I asked if they prefer to have a ball thrown into the audience to randomly select volunteers, or if they feel uncomfortable, we can go with those who raised their hands. They prefer to have the ball thrown around as everyone feels comfortable to help. Might've gotten lucky with an outgoing group that night?
D) The only trick that I altered the method and presentation completely is a PK taste routine I created; the old presentation involves 2 people drinking from a same cup through their straws. Gotta scrap that completely and have them drink their own cup instead.
And boy did I have a brain fart moment in preparation. Usually I do a razor blade swallowing trick. As soon as I started to pull razor from my mouth I thought "oh snap... I gotta wash my hands now that I've touched these saliva dripping razor blades" -- THANK GOODNESS I had a trick where I produced a pitcher of water in the beginning so I washed my hands in it.

Having turned away all live shows this summer, I'm happy to have experimented with this one.
As long as everyone masks up the whole show, as long as we wear masks while traveling, there's no reason we can't do a live performance IMO.
Hope we can slowly make strides towards bringing back live entertainment Smile

If you have done live shows recently, share your thoughts. Were you nervous, excited, prepared, etc... Smile
Don't give up, don't EVER give up.

I have done several live shows with no problems at all. We maintain our distance and have our guidelines. We do not have any close contact with the audience. All shows went well. The best thing we can do when we promote live shows is to reassure our customers that everything we do is within the CDC Guidelines. I just booked two live shows for November.
May every day be magic!

I wouldn’t personally feel comfortable throwing items into the crowd, and I wouldn’t ask many people to help on stage either.

A few routines, maybe have 1 person on stage but even then I’d keep my distance and have sanitizer ready.

Hopefully the time will come soon, but I’d rather be safe than sorry personally.
