Wondering if anyone has the books
"Big laughs for little people" and "Kiddie patter and little feats" by Samual Patrick Smith. If so, what are your thoughts on these books? I'm looking for some Day Care literature and effects/routines. Thanks, John |

I have Kiddie Patter & Little Feats in my collection - I have stolen the rabbit in the hat puppet routine with a few little additions of my own and it goes down a blast. The book has many great ideas and pointers and I found in reading Sammy's routines that it helped me come up with original ideas of my own. I would highly recommend this book. Not read the Big Laughs one tho but do intend to. Hope this helps.

I can recommend both. I learned a lot from them.

Day Cares?
http://www.daverisley.com This guy does 700-800 day care shows a year. He's got some excellent products that turned day cares into almost 40% of my business. But alas I only do a measley 125 day cares a year... As a side note, I'm really excited. I'm starting to book day care jobs with my web site! I didn't think day care directors went online that much! I'm excited because soon I won't have to spend as much time and money putting together mailings! (Of course, I'll probably never truly stop doing mailings.) Speaking of mailings...Dave Dee's stuff helped me book my first month of day cares as a full-time pro. I had 17 shows in my first month...and I had never done a day care before. http://www.timthemagician.com/davedee.html Best, |
