Subscribe to Genii today for as little as $35 at www.geniimagazine.com. Make it three years and you can get Charlie Miller’s 600-page “Magicana” book for only $25 plus postage.

Francis Menotti, on the cover of our November issue. is a brainy fellow and it comes through in the magic he performs. He impressed me greatly when I saw him perform and lecture enough that I asked him to join Genii as one of our rotating book reviewers. He’s diligent and thoughtful in his approach to magic, which puts him a cut above.

The Tenyo company of Japan released its 2021 new line of tricks recently and copies flew my way by Fedex from Tokyo. There are four regular tricks (less than usual due to the pandemic) and one special item—a very special item, and all are on video in our digital edition.

Tannen’s magic camp has been providing fun and magical instruction to kids each summer for decades. This year, of course, was different—a virtual event was held with more attendees and famous magician guests and teachers than ever before. Jeff Prace was there, and he’ll tell you all about it.

Mike Caveney’s “Classic Correspondence” has a letter from Faucett Ross to John Carney.

I don’t know about your house, but here at chez Kaufman, The Great British Baking Show is being binged on a regular basis. It turns out that it’s the same at chez Hannibal as well, as you’ll find out in the new installment of “Happiness is the Road.”

Krystyn Lambert penetrates the veil between the real and spirit worlds in “Stage as Studio.”

“Positive Magic for Kids,” the three-part collaboration between Richard Wiseman and David Kaye, returns this month with a focus
on a trick known either as “Bracelets to Necklace” or “Eternal Rings.”

Jon Racherbaumer says that he never touched the cards in “Exhumations.”

John Bannon just can’t help it—he’s drawn to “Jazz Aces” in the same way I’m drawn to ice cream. Read his latest handling in “Dealing With It.”

This month’s “Magicana” consists of one extremely good coin routine by Japanese magician Masashi Noshita in which three different coins vanish one at a time and fly to a folded handkerchief. I know coin workers will enjoy this.

“The Eye” has coverage of David Blaine’s successful “Assentation” and other news.

Well-known magician Suzanne is our guest reviewer this month, attending to tricks. Elliott Terral and Nathan Coe Marsh review books and videos, respectively.
