He wouldn't keep the envelope in the pocket if it was only one.
In case of only one envelope, he would keep the envelope in full view the entire time. No need for a pocket inside a jacket. |

Marc previewed the Outstanding envelope back in June of this year to Joel Dickenson and Andy in a Jam session thru zoom, in the last few minutes.
Marc clearly said there are 12 outs per envelope. Obviously more than one envelope is used. As it happened in Bang on the 13th out from the wallet in that case may be justified in some way. I always preferred the king outside the envelope as it tends to be more impressive to the audience. What I really Love and see as an improvement here with Outstanding compared to Bang on is: -You can show (peek to audience ) and use only one pocket of your jacket. It really saves space. -The final image imprinted in the viewer’s mind of a CLEARLY OPEN and empty envelope, that really destroys and blows people’s brains. So I placed my order. I’m sure the material of the envelope is good enough because Marc said in the jam session he was looking for the right one. He mentioned he made many prototypes and rejected several materials. I just hope it is waterproof as my hands can be sweaty sometimes.

As presented it definitely plays as more of a mental magic trick than a mentalism effect. I think the audience reaction will be "how did he get the name of my card onto that piece of paper" rather than "how did he predict my actions" or "how did he influence me to say that".
I do love Marc Oberon's style, though. He is one of a dying breed of gentleman performers. |

It isn't obvious because the trailer literally says only one envelope. That is super misleading and I have no idea why they said that.

The ad says it comes with "Plenty of blank papers." I would like to know just about how much plenty or if refills will be available.

I looked at the add for the first time and it does say it comes with "Outstanding envelopes" not EXTRA envelopes, so I guess it must be more than one envelope in use which is disappointing to be honest. I wouldn't want a pocket full of envelopes. Especially if that top one slips down during performance, you cant be too confident where in the order it lands at the bottom of your pocket. |

They are advertising to magicians so it should say what actually happens. The trailer specifically says one envelope and if there is not only one envelope that is misleading. |

Also, I'm pretty sure Craig said that the envelope could be in full view the whole time, and Marc agreed with him. If it's more than one envelope, that's pretty disappointing.

But I was trying to say if in a trailer geared twoards magicians says only one envelope it should be assumed that that is what will happen not what the audience sees. This could be a great project since it seems to be but saying one envelope is annoying. |

It seems that the line between what the audience perceives and what really happens (which has always been fuzzy) is becoming more and more blurred these days.

I would like to see a picture of the envelope with the predictions in it sitting out in full view on a table. Wonder if one of the dealers could post it here? I am very skeptical about how it will look after seeing the envelope on the demo, it looks pretty thick IMO.

One of the great things about the "Way Out" that I bought (I think there were later versions) is that the piece of paper seemed to remain in view throughout. I understand that would be trickier with 52 outs but maybe this is a compromise too far?

I've received it and have some answers to the above questions. I need to play with it, and then I can better review.
I worry the thread is leading to exposure, there's lots of attempted reverse engineering... |

I just want to know how thick the envelope is when the predictions are in it. Thanks! RNK

Hi guys, I'm Marc Oberon's son. First time posting here, I created the trailer for Outstanding and I've just launched a new shop for my Dad's products at: https://www.oberonmagic.shop
To celebrate the launch of Outstanding - We're doing Free Worldwide Shipping until 02.11.2020. There's a lot of questions I want to respond to and clarify, but I'm wary of revealing methods, as I'm new to magician etiquette, (outside of my dad's house.) Replacement envelopes will certainly be able available, although I doubt they'd be needed for a long time. (The envelopes are super well made) I'm also going to add 'additional blanks' and 'replacement pre-written cards' to the shop for anyone who wants to expand on, or create new routines. Already included are 10 (4 Way Blanks) & 6 (5 Way Blanks) - So that's 70 OUTs for anyone who's familiar with the Way Out principle, this also leaves you plenty of room for error in the blank writing/out creation process. (Included also are the prewritten 52 Playing Cards, and a pre folded set) - It's important that you fold the blanks yourself to develop an understanding of the paper opening mechanics. In the Instructions my Dad goes over the best type of pen to use for avoiding bleed through & also a simple way of customizing the envelope to make it appear more natural and torn/ripped open. If anyone has any in depth questions please feel free to contact my dad at info@marcoberon.co.uk And once again World Wide Shipping is Free with Code: [ FREESHIP ] until the 2nd of November at https://www.oberonmagic.shop Cheers guys |

I realize you get blanks to make up your own outcomes but do you already get supplied the drawn up 52 cards in written marker to perform right away .
Thanks, Tophatter |
