I did a search, but can't seem to find anything that helps. There have been several effects/items that I wanted to post photos of, but I seem to be having difficulty, even when the size is below 75KB. They are .jpegs too. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are multiple topics concerning this. Besides being below 75KB, you have to make sure the size fits the criteria as well which is 700 by 500 pixels.

It's not an inconvenience at all. The search feature sometimes if very specific. It all depends on what words you were searching for.
