There are many paddle move tricks available that will work.

Easy to adapt story line to any situation. Check out the Café' archive threads for recommendations.

Once you master the moves you are prepared for life on the many variations.

How big of a crowd do you intend to draw? Big crowd, can't beat the classic cups and balls; look in to Gazzo's work on it. Small on the spot kinda stuff, I really think rubber band work is quick and impactful on the street. I highly recommend Rubber Deception by Joe R, lots of mileage out of essentially one utility move. Also cannot beat a thumb tip!

Crowd size is of course a large factor. As mentioned above, Cups and Balls is always great and can be done so many different ways. Pen Through Bill is another simple trick that packs small. However, I feel that if you are going to be packing a gimmicked writing device, Double Cross would get you a lot more mileage and reaction.

Packing along a deck of cards (normal or invisible deck) or packet trick are great ideas too. If you have a deck of cards, a blister effect might be something that interests you.

Flash paper can elevate a sleight of hand vanish or reappearance. Be careful with fire in public. One COULD get into trouble...I did.
