I have seen many interviews from both Copperfield and Burton. Although they follow different paths on magic they are both great performers! I never heard one speak about the other! never. Does anyone knows what is the relationship between them? Do they respect each others work?

Don't know if their friends. But why wouldn't they like each other? The world of pro magicians is super small...an era of great pro magicians is coming to an end in the next few decades...sure retirement is out of the question but father time catches up and it's time to go back to the great mystery.

Yes, there seems to be great respect between them. There have been many times they have worked with Sigfried & Roy and other local charities that they have worked together or spoken about each other. When Lance "retired" and ceased his show at the Monte Carlo David had some nice things to say about him. Locally, here in Vegas, we have seen this pretty regularly.

Doug, you are rather unaware of a piece of Magic’s legacy which most likely would not allow this to happen.
There most definitely IS a reason why it might not happen. |
