Yeah, that’s just incorrect.

But yes in any case there is ALWAYS a load, of course! I don't believe I ever stated the opposite but sorry if I wasn't being clear! And I feel the load is nearly invisible. |

Gaz politely asked a question, and again I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, but he respectfully gave me the opportunity to explain. Happy to explain further on what you have understood but please quote what I said as I'm not sure what you're referring to... |

Sorry if this is off topic but it’s very much related to this effect.
Regarding using an E process and a 12 card out (the 12 picture cards.) Once you’ve established you are using the picture cards you have 2 options. The first is you can choose to immediately eliminate all but one of the picture cards and arrive directly at the selected card. OR...you can add more eliminations such as having them first eliminate the values, then colors, then suits, etc. My question is to those much more experienced at this than I am...what is the better option of the two? Does it depend on whether they choose number cards or picture cards initially? Or perhaps it doesn’t really matter all that much regardless of how they arrived at picture cards? Or is ALWAYS important to include more eliminations to further establish a pattern? |

Personally I would continue more eliminations to follow the pattern of the first one.

It’s the consisting after the first stage that is constant throughout that seems to make it fairer ( when of course it’s not really ) than it is . Particularly when you can give them the options of changing their minds at each stage and reaffirming all this at the reveal . That’s my opinion for what it’s worth Gaz 😊 |

Ha I sometimes wonder which year we're in... as far as I'm concerned it's probably not going to be the trick of the year for me but I still think it's a really good one.

As Murphy's and EKat Call this the "Trick of the year"
Then we won't need to spend much money on anything else this year |

Not sure what Murphy said, but, just to be more precise, I don't think Ekat exactly called it the trick of the year on her review (as lots of people have said)... she said that she "thinks it will be hard to beat" and that she's "making the prediction that it won't be beaten", it's a bit different...

This keeps coming up, and part of the misunderstanding I think is that she talks about this in two different places.
0:38 - "It's early into 2021 but it's the trick of the year for me." 4:43 - "I love this and I don't know how to express this further than just to say for me, I don't think there's gonna be a trick that packs such powerful magic and variations into ... so many things you can do with it, like, it's gonna be hard to beat in 2021. So I'm gonna make a prediction that probably, can't beat it, for me and that's my personal opinion." I think a lot of people (including me a few pages back) remember the second reference but miss the first one. |

Honestly I think the way they quoted Ekat was one of the many ways in which the ad copy was misleading.

Oh all right then, I did miss the first one which is indeed a bit bold... the second reference is more acceptable to me though

Yes, the trailer was misleading, no doubt. But the quote? She literally said "it's the trick of the year for me" So, how is that misleading? |

Her opinions are not misleading at all , she can think that then , that now and for the rest of the year . It depends how seriously you take one persons opinion it’s down to yourself to weigh things up and make an informed decision overall imho Gaz 😊

So many people have reviewed this badly, and those bad reviews are there to help other people and help save their money. People don’t have to make reviews, they choose to for the good of the community. The poster appears to be pretty new into magic so they are even more in need of reviews. Finally, yes I do have an objective reason I dislike it - the gimmicks are poorly made.

It's really appalling to see that some people (and adults I would assume?) don't even know the meaning of words as simple as "objective"... but hey, Plato and the cave...
@Open Your Mind: for the record my gimmicks are perfectly fine so that's so much for your "objectivity" - I urge you to read the definition of "objective" @Autarchic Flux: if you think that magic is about competing with other magicians then you're clearly on the wrong forum (read the forum subtitle...) and you must have a very sad life (or are you a FISM award winner? ) I rarely write on here to attack people but it's because of comments like that that there sometimes is a bad atmosphere on the Café. Everyone is entitled to it's own opinion (that's subjectivity) and everyone is allowed to express it (that's freedom), however the way you communicate this opinion should be done with respect, which is clearly something both of you should consider. |
