I'm always stumped when someone comes on and doesn't like a particular effect. I'm not stumped that they don't like it, what confuses me is when people who do like it try to make that person change their mind. If I like something and others don't, wel, GOOD. More for me.
I'm actually very happy when I like a particular effect or move or presentation and I see others not liking it or even better, completely trashing it. GREAT! LOVE IT! Stay away then. I don't want to try and convince them to change their minds. So for those that like and will use this idea then don't try to make others join your club. Just my opinion. Greg

All of Nothing is a fantastic presentation for a 50/50. It turns it from being a throwaway but into a very strong moment in your show. The fact I can do it live or on zoom is a huge bonus. If you are a creative magician or mentalist, I’m sure you’ll be very happy within.

I performed AoN twice yesterday as an opener to two 15 minute birthday magi-gram zoom shows.
I used a combination of the N**** premise and G******* J*** W***** along with a birthday theme. Did it go down well? Yes, it went down brilliantly with the guy in the first show slamming his hand on the table shouting 'no way'. There are people on this thread who don't like the effect but haven't bought it...yet (Gaz 😉) and haven't seen some of the awesome ideas in the Facebook group. For me it's the perfect opener for my magi-gram zoom show, as enjoyed by a paying audience. It's a keeper 😀😀😀. |

That’s good to hear Doric but as I would never do zoom I am talking about about real live gigs to real people up close and personal . So sorry for the confusion when I meant sets I meant back to normality actual in person gigs . Those seeing your shows saw it on camera ie zoom but as I don’t do zoom I have actually seen this gimmick made up and had the effect in my own hands so it’s not like I have viewed it just online . I am glad it went well for you my friend and like I said I don’t have the FB nuances so there may be a hidden treasure there . I would never think though it’s possible to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear , but that’s my opinion . You may just because I say this now ( I know the game ) get a load of great reviews but if I hadn’t mentioned this effect in the first place after its original advert with no demo or description this would be on page 9 by now . It’s purely only because I give an honest opinion that isn’t positive that you get the defence of it . If nature took its course like I say it would be way down the pages . So I am doing the effect a favour by keeping it on page 1 , Gaz 😊

Who are you seeing that’s showing you effects in person whilst in lockdown Gaz?

It doesn't take a genius to understand that All or Nothing has nothing to do with a gimmick or a specific effect. It is a brilliant concept that allows you to extend a 50/50 routine to the 1/x dimension.

I would back Gaz all the way on this I see no value whatsoever in this release and definitely nothing new . Simple yes way too simple in fact so easily backtracked . If an unknown had released this I’m certain he would have been slated for it. Just what do you see in this???there are so many fantastic effects out there why would anyone choose to do this ?

I had written a long response to what is being written on this thread.
For now, I will simply write that what is happening is one of two things. Either: There’s a desire to create a train wreck on the Café because it’s something to do Or There is confusion/frustration as to why so many professional magicians and mentalists, from hobbyists to top professionals, are loving what All or Nothing gives them in terms of a performance piece and value for money. Neither is the fault of what I have released.

This is a really terrific idea. Anyone with a creative bone in their body can see why this will play so much stronger than a traditional 50/50.

I’m still waiting for Jon Allen to sort out the FB access problem I’ve been facing. Jon — can you please fix this. It’s been a while now since we’ve been exchanging PMs and I’ve also sent you an email as you had requested but still have not heard anything. This is pretty sloppy!

Update that Jon responded and all is good. Again, I think this is a great idea and has potential for all sorts of things. Look forward to swapping some of them in the FB link.

As the world starts to open up again, I had some friends come round to our garden and an excuse - at long last - to present a mystery. This afternoon I decided to show All or Nothing.
Although the choice is 50:50, the patter and intriguing nature of the effect drew everybody in and with some joining in with the possible meaning of colours. It was fun, entertaining and a massive hit. Sometimes the simple effects and premises are best. Neil |

I am continuing to have good fun with this. However, a potential snag!
Recently when I have been showing this, my wife has always been with me. On these occasions all the spectators have opted for green. Earlier today my wife said, 'You're going to get this wrong soon.' I think she'll be a bit taken aback if she watches and someone chooses red. Hopefully she 'won't let the cat out of the bag' but then, knowing me as she does, nothing would surprise her! Neil |

Welp. I posted the following on the wrong thread, so here's the repost for what it's worth
Ok, being a fan of 50/50 Fantasia, this caught my eye. Based on feedback from people I trust, (like Nique for one), I ordered it.I like it a lot! I've been looking for material for Zoom specifically, and this fit the bill. I gave it a test run with my spouse in a close up situation, just one on one. Using (basically) the provided scripting. The response actually surprised me. A big, satisfied, smile and chuckle, followed by, "so how were you so sure you could reliably influence that every time?" Jon is very paced, patient, and clear on his instructions. Everything is justified, and with purpose. Pick this up, and within a short amount of time, with a tiny bit of work, you'll have a keeper to toss into the repertoire. There's no negatives to be had here as far as I'm concerned. This WILL see use, and plenty of it I suspect. Good mind melting to all

Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)
