So sorry it took so long to get back to everyone. To say the least it went very very well. After I performed this I went into other effects that went well also. Then for some reason and I don't know why I decided to rearrange the cards in case if someone wanted to see it again. And sure enough this one guy brought over a really nice lady who missed this part of our little get-together so I did this for her as well while inviting over two other people. The gentleman who brought her over actually pulled me aside afterwards and told me he thought I was using cards that stuck together and he asked this lady to come over so he could actually watch it more closely. I mixed up the cards a little bit more did one other card Effect for him then handed him the cards where he could actually look and see there was no cards sticking together. This is a very good effect.

Chapter 08 does look good. Any experiences on that one?

6 is amazing and practically self working. I just watched 8 and in typical Dani fashion, it's brilliant and chock full of good ideas, and is a masterclass in a few really useful techniques that will impact other effects I do, *but* I don't think I'll ever perform the effect as it's done here. It has elements that I don't like, and you end up very slightly dirty, which I prefer not to do. Also, some of the other ACAANs he teaches (and some others that I do) pack just as much of a punch without the compromises 8 has. Indeed, I think the 6th ACAAN gets you just as far and doesn't have the negatives of 8. But, still, there's so much other good stuff here on techniques that it's still worth it to me (I'm subscribed to Dani's site so don't need to decide whether to pick up individual videos as they're all included -- so I can't say if it's worth buying this one separately but I learned a ton of useful stuff... but won't do the trick as described).

Watched the trailer for 8 .. and it sounds really good. Has anyone tried it on an audience?

Ok I bought 6. Loved it. I think I see what's going on in 8 but may indulge just for another dani lesson. He is so great to listen to even if you don't use the trick

Which of these are self-working or semi-automatic except Episode 6?

Number 9 is great!
The handling itself is super simple, the psychology definitely works with his pacing and amongst the chaos. There is only one technique/method on your part, no passes ..if you can hold a break and shuffle you are good. There are two verbal ploys. The number you when you get a spectator to think of one you try to slightly restrict for naturalness but overall it’s great and looks good. Don’t know if I like it more than chapter 6 but would love to try it out. Not a lot to remember with this one. |

I think 6 is going to scratch my ACAAN itch for quite some time but I have to comment that I'm disappointed in the penguin reviews - mostly negative due to dani not speaking native English. Perhaps this video is particularly hard to understand, I'm not sure, but the reviews really rub me the wrong way.

It saddens me every time I hear things about someone's English. Dani is perfectly understandable. I, for one, have no problems understanding what he's saying.
Often times these comments comes from native speakers, that very often don't speak a second language themselves. I'm not saying the classic "but his English is better than your Spanish" kinda thing, but when you learn different languages, you start understanding people better when they try to speak English. So if you learn spanish for example, you learn how they sound out things like vowels, and it starts making sense why certain English words are pronounced a certain way, as well as their sentence structure, the syntax. |

I also love the way Dani speaks, and he is completely understandable. In fact, I think it's great the way Dani sometimes uses his English as a form of misdirection, which highlights some creative thinking on how to make tricks your own...

I always thought ACAAN was very good, but I always had difficulty memorizing the deck. Unfortunately I don't do as many shows as I wanted and I'm afraid of forgetting. Is there any simple way?
