Crazy Man's Handcuffs and spoon, pen, coin, key bending. On The Spot has a ton of great non-card material on it. Coins always work well too. I guess the most imortant thing in my opinion is taking advantage of putting the deck away to do a deck switch. Or even if its just having a couple of cards stacked in the box so when you put the cards away your stack is on top.
