The gag with the word YES (written on a blank playing card or on a piece of paper) as a prediction I have seen several times with different magicians.
However, no names come to mind at the moment.
Do you know names of magicians who use this gag AND where exactly I can find it (lecture, book)

I've never seen that version. I have seen many people use the No gag.

I have an Effect called " Comedy Cry Baby Prediction by Tim Mannix that uses the gag in the course of the routine.
In the routine it has "YES" printed on one side an "NO" printed on the other side of the same
piece of laminated stock. Depending on how an audience member answers you. You are covered.

It's the popular think of a famous person prediction and you show them a picture of the famous person's baby picture.

I "invented" (joking of course) the following:

Take out the cards, go through them and take one out.
Ask spec if he knows which card it is.
Says "No". Turn card over and it says "NO" on it..

This of course is at least mildly funny ...
I then tell the story of the time I did that same joke to a person who had already seen it ... but that I had fogotten about ...


So I ask: Guess what he said when I asked him if he knew which card I'd taken from the pack?
I drive somehow the people to say or think "Yes" as the reply.

I turn the card over once more and it says "Yes" on it.

Method: After showing the "No" I simply top change it with the "Yes" card that was prepared on the top of the pack. I then put the "Yes" face down on the pack, double turnover showing the "No" as it should be.
Turn the card(s) over and deal the first one of the table, far from the deck.

Once the "Yes" card is revealed I simply place it for a fraction of a second on the pack, remove both cards as one and put them away..

The go on with the real trick!

It is a good little opener ...
