Lots of people wondering how this is magic.
Well, do you already float or animate something as an effect? Haunted Pack,Rising Card, Floating Bill. How about TAKING the charge from your phone into the card, dropping the charged up card on a deck and it animates? |

How about simply producing it in a magical way (your favorite credit card production - magical appearance out of nowhere) and with a less challenging tech gadget premise.
“Look I have this invisible battery charger for my phone. A gift of the magicians gild.” “Ah you can’t see it? Wait, please here take my glasses and look through” Boom the card magically appears in your hand. You then charge your phone and vanish the card afterwards. You could additionally vanish your phone. That would be a magic presentation. |

I recently PM’d Dutchie “Dutchie, are you the person on the TikTok video?”. His response was “I can neither confirm nor deny that.” I believe he is from what I have found and I believe I know exactly who he is. If so, I understand his posts throughout this thread. He was hoping to have something special that a much more limited audience was aware of. If one truly does not believe in a product, has had a bad experience, or is disappointed in a product, I respect them sharing that with other potential buyers here on the Café. But if one has been fortunate enough to have an incredibly positive experience with a product and does not acknowledge that and tries to taint it for others, I find it to be disingenuous and self-serving.
Charge Card has been used and received accolades from many respected artists in our field such as Cyril, Michael Carbonaro, Andy (The Jerx), Chad Long, Paul Vigil, Enrico de la Vega, etc. They, too, have used it to start a conversation and apparently share some amazing new technology "find" with people. This really isn’t a magic trick per se but certainly is a magical experience (although the instructional video does explain how one can use it in a magic trick). As with Michael Carbanaro’s quote it truly reflects the feel he gets time after time with his incredible pieces on his show. |

I'm just a bit sad that the card could'nt have been kept just a little bit less magicshop mainstream that's all.

A example for videoman on how it can be perceived and introduced as magic. Btw. followed by Optix it would be more than a “filler”. If you are really the guy in the TikTok video we shouldn’t talk about fillers... The clip has gone viral because people believed the card is real and possibly available to purchase. But it wasn’t magical in any way nor it was perceived as a gag. It wasn’t even entertaining. |

That was my interest in it in the first place. For better or worse, magicians have been buying and performing gags for ages. I remember buying Joel Hodgson's tire pressure prop and a miniature cheese grater decades ago, plus many others over the years. I love a good gag. I also love a good pun. Which may explain why I’m a hobbyist and not a pro. 😃 |

Is it stronger than a bill switch or card to wallet or triumph or McDonald's aces etc etc. you get my point. if we have 10 minutes at a table, or an hour in a theater to show an audience magic, is this what we'd chose as strong magic? I wouldn't. |

It was me, Randy Shirley, who was in the Tik Tok video.
Who so this Dutchie character? I even say “Hi, I’m Randy Shirley” in the start of the video. |

I have a few versions I like. Just the indicator light, the previous with changing status up top, all previous with voice.

Ha, that’s cool Nathan.
I really like how you included your name so it’s really like it recognizes your personal card. Great idea. Thanks for sharing! Although it makes me feel like a lazy bum. Here you are experimenting and creating all these different things and I haven’t even opened the envelope mine came in yet. 😢 |

I have never had so much messing about with a magic purchase before. The trailer was very clever as to fool me into thinking the green charge indicator was actually on the card itself.
Second trying to find a slideshow that actually works didn't help either! It is now on its way back to Vanishing inc. |

I see it as the card displaying the phone’s charge, which is how I think most people would see it.
