There are a lot of reels out there, but this is next level technology. This utility and design patent-pending ITR was designed from the ground-up by Joao Miranda, with the consultation of the IT expert, Tom Wright (who has performed invisible thread magic for over 15 years in real world situations).

https://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=69316

With the Gravity Reel you have:

* INSTANT ACCESS to the thread (with a backup ready to go)
* A controller AND reel that VIBRATE (so you know when key actions will occur)
* The option to record and SAVE up to 3 programs
* The ability to CONTROL THE SPEED with an easy-to-palm remote
* 20 effects and tips taught with incredible detail

Don't miss out. Stock is expected to sell fast.
Available now at Murphy's Magic retailers.

I don’t use IT so what do I know, but that remote was much larger and clunkier than I expected and seemed like maybe overkill. But perhaps it is the holy grail for you IT gurus.

I love Joao's products and the variety of items he produces is amazing. 35 years ago we could only dream of having things like this available.

I like that you can customize the settings, but it is a lot more expensive than Tarantula and Spider Pen. Don't think I can afford it, but I am interested in hearing more about it.

Is the thread stronger than others on the market?

It looks very nice. But I prefer Reels from Sean Bogunia.

That size of the remote has me a little put off however it does seem to offer a lot of very nice features..... I use IT more for PK effects and love my Scorpion but this seems like it could be very effective for a few uses where scorpion falls short.

Since it's programmable, perhaps the remote won't be needed so much

A few questions:
What is "BLACK LABEL CERTIFIED"?
Also, Why would you tweet this item?
I notice his one hand is hidden for control of the reel in a few routines, why demo it this way??

Can you turn off the vibration feedback of the remote?
There is nothing more inappropriately than a loud buzz from your pocket while you silently perform with IT.
The vibration feedback of Joaos products unfortunately were always too loud in the past. For example Spectro Touch.

Joao Miranda makes some wonderful products. But for this item, the two most important elements are the strength of the thread used and the ease to replace the thread. The remote can have a hundred functions but they would be useless if the thread keeps on breaking and it takes a long time to replace the thread.

Haha. Agreed, RNK. I do not have the best of luck when it comes to thread effects. I typically just use loops. Simpler is sometimes better especially when it comes to thread use. But I am open minded.

What has me very intrigued is that it seems as if this could serve as an electronic retracting loop”. Miranda said on facebook that there’s a setting to have it constantly retracting and because of the cutout design, the reel could be in your pocket ready to use, you loop the thread on your thumb, use it as it’s in constant tension and then it retracts back into your pocket. This is interesting to me

This looks epic, between Joáo’s impressive engineering and Tom Wrights IT skills and creativity.. I’m certain this is a winner! I don’t buy much magic but this is on my radar for sure!

"Epic" is right. While I don't plan to get this myself, I have to say that I found the demo video breathtaking. Looks like real magic out of Harry Potter or something!

Seems like this is the most advanced ITR out there, though I'd love to know if there are other ones that come close to being able to perform the effects on the video.

Having watched the tutorial I have to say the things this can do is amazing. Definitely James Bond like. An awful lot of time and thinking has gone into this. This is definitely not your every day itr. Tom has done a fantastic job on the teaching and explanations. So many routines. I think this is definitely worth the money compared to other high end itr’s

Hi all,

We did get a copy and we have been playing around Gravity Reel for a few days already, here are our initial thoughts about it.

The device

The big thing that sets Gravity Reel apart from the crowd is that it can program up to 3 sets of commands/routines. The remote control is essentially the brain that controls and indicates what is going on for the system. You don't need to be tech-savvy but it will take some time to set up. It is customized for personal preferences and performance style. At the same time, it will require some trial and error to get it perfect for you.

Is it really useful or is it just one of those nice to have?

Yes, it is useful. In a way, this becomes a 3 in 1 reel that you can quickly switch setting instead of changing the reel. If you are the super picky one and need everything to be perfect this would be it.

The thread

Although we did experience some hip cups, however, the thread is relatively easy to switch or fix compare to other items (THANK YOU JOAO!)

As for the thread strength, two people on our team think the Gravity Reel thread is slightly stronger and the other three people think they are all relatively the same. It is a close vote but the majority vote wins, so we will say it is relatively the same for our team. We will let you decide which is which for yourself.

The instruction

You will learn everything about the device from Joao and multiple routines from Tom. There is some overlap from Tom's older material. If you are looking for all brand new materials, they are not. However, Tom included additional new tips on the older work.

Final Verdict

If you are a professional working magician and required to do different routines at the same event, this is the perfect item for you. It will save you pocket space and give you peace of mind. The pre-program function allows the remote to give you instant feedback on your full routine. Just let the device do the dirty work so you can focus on the presentation and the audience interaction.

If you want to compare this to Spider Pen Pro or Tarantula 2 from Mesika or Venom from Magie Factory, we honestly don't think they are in the same category. Gravity would be "overqualified" for most situations.

It is available in our store and ready to ship with Free express shipping.
