The holder is available to buy but it’ll cost ya another $25.
https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S31245 Toe Switch is $40. On the bright side, once you are out there using this and watching jaws drop the overall cost will be quickly forgotten. |

I've gone ahead and ordered some vectra. My use for IT is more for PK effects and less close up levitation so I would prefer stronger thread even if a but more visible. I will share my thoughts on the thread and unit in general shortly.

Sorry. I am missing something here. Is there any credit to Sean Bogunias Products who invented all these things before? Years ago he invented Deck TR for example. With this you can do the same thing like with the Gravity reel. Also some effects are the same basics that you learn from Sean Bogunia. It must be a big coincidnce that there was a Video from Mr. Miranda performing the Dancing Hank from Sean Bogunia and (i think) he has some other stuff from Sean Bogunia and now came up with nearly the same idea without any credits.
Deck TR is also programmable. and fit inside of a card case. (but the remote is a lot smaller from the Deck TR;-) ITS from Sean Bogunia is also nearly the same as Gravity Reel but bigger (to float or animate bigger Objects). I don´t own Gravity Reel but I talked to some friends they have it and there is no credit to Sean Bogunia. The only different between Gravity Reel and Deck TR: You have two threads together and a Vibration feedback. And no one talks about the real inventor or respect the (HARD!) work of Sean Bogunia. PS: Sorry for my bad Englisch. |

Over 15 years ago I was given one of his dancing hanky effects and it was really good. However comparing or resuming his reel to mine just because it saves programs does not make any justice since Gravity is MUCH more than that. In fact honestly I think that part is not that much important when compared to whole thing. A few differences just from the top of my head regarding Sean reel: 1: record and save vibrations (without those you cannot concentrate on presentation). This might seem a minor change but it is not. It is VERY difficult for the perform to count the seconds in his head while presenting the effect. 2: Dual motor ITR so you create a hoop of IT always ready for you, with constant tension. 3: Speed adjustable to the millisecond due to a ruler velocity type in the remote (which you can palm by the way). 4: Our reel has a angle where the thread Has to pass so it doesn’t break. This eliminate most of the reason why current ITRs break at low speeds. 5: This reel was designed for close up fitting in a small leather wallet or a pack of cigarettes and uses much smaller motors that allow for effects NOT possible with any other ITR, including Sean version. 6: automatic retraction of the hoop (you can make for example a water bottle fall and have the hoop retract to your pocket automatically). 7: new method to thread the spools (no knots are used) 8: the design of both the remote and reel are VERY different, regarding not only the U shape that the reel has for easier access of the thread but everything else. 9: with Gravity the performer can even customize and record the minimum tension of each motor, individually. In resume I can assure you that over 80% of the routines we explain cannot be performed with Sean reel, not only due to the motor size differences but due to the reel design itself and the way our electronic programming is done. Anyway regardless of that I totally agree that credit should be given, not only to Sean but many other performers that created amazing gimmicks like James George, Yigal Mesika, Gaetan Bloom, Jon Leclair, Bruno Copin, and many others. We are currently working in a history video of IT that will be added as a credit to the instructions in the following 2 weeks. |

Hello Mr. Miranda. I see that your item should be great. No question. I saw a few videos and they realy looks good.
But I think they are very similar. Programmable ITR Modus Remote Controlled Live Modus If I take SB ITS I also can make a loop of the Thread. Speed Adjustable And! If you buy something from SB you have a life warranty of his products. Also you get all the items you see in his Video (as far as I know the holder for your Reel I must buy separately). I wish you had contacted Sean Bogunia before releasing your Reel on the Magic Market and/or maybe work together. |

There's also the product 'Units' out there. I have it now for probably 5 years already and you could just do the same effects with it.
It has 2 programmable motors, you could place the motors in two breast pockets to make a loop system, as they also explain in their tutorials. In the demo video 5 years ago he even showed a demo of a flying rose, which is kinda similar to the ring idea. He floats it, stops it, drops it on command etc. https://youtu.be/DDkLDwZeWs0 Don't get me wrong. The item looks great and I like it. It has some new features that could be nice in addition and it packs smaller, because it's all within one unit. However, the principle of multiple programmable reel systems is definitely nothing new, even for close-up. For an additional $210, it's probably not worth it for me to upgrade. |

And ITS Reel plays in a completely different price league and does not seem to be necessarily made for Close Up. I think Gravity Reel offers a lot of possibilities which Deck TR doesn't have but I may be wrong as I'm new to the IT world, anyway I find the possibilities very enriching |

I have a few questions Joao.
1. you mention that this uses two thread reels. Can each side can be programmed differently? So that they each act independently? Or do both reels do the same action that you programmed? 2. can you for example make it so you can pull out as much thread as you need, and it locks in place, then retracts when I choose? 3. I doubt this is a feature or the ad copy would mention it. But would this by chance be programmable through a smartphone (maybe an app in the works)? Or would you need to program everything through a computer? I have only done very basic thread work in the past so I don't know much about ITRs. The only one I own is venom which is mechanical and is under constant tension. So a lot of these concepts are very new to me. But this really seems like an amazing product and am very tempted to purchase. Just want to make sure it's right for me. Thanks! |

Here is a cool idea Tom Wright just had using the Gravity Reel inside a cardbox.
It allows for a very clean and invisible switch. If you use a program you don't even need to have the hand inside the pocket. Enjoy! : |

Got mine in the mail. Unfortunately when trying to thread the spool, the thread keeps getting caught in the motor and getting tangled up and in knots. Not sure what to do about that.

Bpearce, make sure you're adding tension and spooling on a low setting. Also avoid lots of thread, just spool what you need. There is a Facebook group where owners can help you troubleshoot things!

Here is an amazing visual effect with a very clever method, performed by Jamie Scott using Gravity.
The method is now available for owners only in the Facebook group. |

I just put my order in. I have Steve Fearson's Cobra Reel and all the add-ons as well as two of his Pod reels, and I also have the Venom reels which Gravity (if it were just an ITR) appears to emulate at first glance. However as has been pointed out its the programmability and the two reels can be used independent of each other. Whereas with Venom there is no programmability and when both reels are used they always function as if they were one reel. I can't wait to see the wonders that can be done with this. It looks amazing.

Thanks for the info Joao!
Am really tempted to get this. The effects that you can do with this look really amazing. I'm sure plenty more to come as people have more time to play around with it. Honestly looks like this would be the holy grail of ITRs, and if you have it, I don't see any reason that you'd need another ITR again. Hefty price tag but with all of these features it seems warranted. Would rather pay extra for a utility device that can do many different things than 10 one trick ponies. Btw, for those that have it, how does the gravity tack hold up? Does anyone feel that it could completely replace wax? |

A lot of people are talking about a Gravity by João Miranda and Tom Wright. It’s setting the magic world on fire!
So I decided to do a deep dive Review Show special all about Gravity. First I interviewed Tom and grilled him about Gravity. I wanted to know if it really is as practical as people say it is. Then I spent ages playing with the prop and gave it a full review. I left no stone unturned. If you want to know whether Gravity really is as good as they say then this is a video you want to watch. Obviously any questions just let me know. Here’s the link https://youtu.be/91EPKCJ7pkk |
