Earplugs by Jay Sankey is also a good resource for learning the sleights. Don't expect any revolutionary routines, though. He also doesn't cover many kinds of productions (as opposed to 25 Tricks With SB).

I have been looking for a cheap copy of this for a long time now. They are charging SO MUCH for it.

Jon Jensen's Professional Sponge Ball Tricks Volumes 1 & 2 offer a nice compilation of various vanishes and lots of routines. They're plastic bound booklets and are well worth the $$$.

They're the best thing since Garcia's book.

"25 tricks with sponge balls" taught me everything in one pass. I recommend it.

Once you have the basics, the routine should be up to you.

It has to be low cost. Any of you who do card working forums know me from the ultimate card trick post, and know I have very little money. I come from a "middle class" family.

Ray,

I did a quick search and found plenty of websites selling books/videos and sponge balls, but none offering instruction on the technique. I'm pretty glad about that, though. None of the information is very expensive and the magic in spongeballs is beautiful. If it were free, I think too many spectators would be on to us.

I need a stage name.

Joe I have too agree with you on that one. It isn't very expensive but that little amount of money is enough to keep the nosy lay's out! sometimes it can be a pain though but then if you can perform it it is just so increadably worth it all!

Since nobody has mentioned stage use of sponge balls, I'll just say that Billy McComb has a great little book on that very thing--I believe it's called Stage Sponges.
