It appears to me that the spikes can be said to have special powers no matter what they are made of. Why would wood have more powers than brass?
Whatever you tell your audience about the special powers of the spikes does not depend on what they are made from. |

I am all in, but I admit, I am a sucker for 'impossible penetration' effects, especially when they start to look like a miniature sword cabinet of some sort.
I personally like the brass, because honestly, I don't care that much about the 'magical powers patter' anyway, nor does my usual audience of sceptics. For me, my appreciation will depend totally on the impossibility of the visual effect, hoping that it is not too obvious that the bottle is being avoided by the spikes. Then it is key to find some kind of scientific-experiment-patter dressing it all up. It sure looks more like an 1800's scientific apparatus than the original effect by Massey. Thrilled that the spike is seen coming out of the bottom. Hope that the mechanics somehow blow my mind. |

Hey, I just love the sound the brass spikes make when tapped together so I would have to go with them for that reason alone. 😃

It's a joke, lol. Magic Dust, you know me so well.
I wouldn't be so selfish as to deprive my fellow enthusiasts or take advantage of them in such a way. Also, there's NO WAY I could afford to buy three. 
I do think this is going to be VERY popular though. |

Wow, that was quick. There must be more disposable income kicking around and people with time on their hands. Either that or MW products are more desirable now than they used to be. Or maybe both!
