I echo all the positive reviews for the FPS Coin Wallet. It's a truly outstanding utility item. I mentioned to a friend tonight that I owned something that was similar many years ago (can't remember the name), but there are subtle differences....The long and short of it being that it didn't work nearly as well as Brent's. I'm also delighted that he elected to include Gregory Wilson's excellent "Crime Ring" routine, which catapults this into an everyday carry type product. BTW- I ordered a second one tonight. That's how much I like it!

Very good quality but I’ve seen the mechanism in the Fooler by Eric Roumestan, which was very poor quality but exact same working method.

Alex,
Eric is not only credited but also talks a bit about how much he likes the FPS Coin Wallet in the tutorial. We not only credit Eric and The Fooler but have his permission and the rights to use his method. He also had this to say about the product after he got his “It's extremely clever, perfectly designed, and I love it."
- Eric Roumestan

As I mention in the tutorial the basic design is the same but because of the construction differences the FPS Coin Wallet allows you to do things that simply can’t be done with the Fooler. Like use it for everyday carry and be 100% sure that your coins are safely trapped inside. They are many small but meaningful changes.

Thanks,
Brent Braun

Didn’t get the chance to look at the tutorial, thanks for the clear answer and congrats for standing behind such amazingly produced creations Smile

I’ve had it for a week or so. Typical Brent quality. Very well made. My fav use so far is for charming chinese challenge. Perfect and invisible way to store and steal the extra coin. Teaching is clear and detailed with several suggested uses. Ultimately, it’s a utility item. So your uses for it will vary depending on your needs.

I agree that anyone doing Charming Chinese Challenge strolling should have this. Perfect all around solution.
Great utility for almost any coin work.

Mine has arrived, it’s a lovely little coin wallet. Haven’t had much of a chance to digest the download, but from what I have seen so far, Brent includes a lot of fantastic ideas for its use. Great stuff.

I used this at my first live gig this year Friday night and will be using it in another live gig tonight for my charming Chinese coins routine and have to say is so nice and easy to use! Really makes the CCC routine impossible for the audience's eyes.

^ He ^ probably doesn't perform any kind of magic what-so-ever thinking that people would just feel that he is using tricks.
How many magicians does it take to change a lightbulb? Regardless, for magicians darkness is a time for d'lite.

I’ve actually never owned or performed the CCC but have often considered adding it to my repertoire. This new coin wallet (it’s not a purse mind you) has brought CCC back to the forefront for me.

But I have a question for those who perform a CCC routine.

Would it be possible to replace one of the Chinese coins with perhaps a metal washer the same size?

I always thought it would make it more personal if a spec could sign one side and you sign the other side. Then at the end it could reappear in an impossible location such as nest of wallets or ball of yarn.

Plus it could allow for some gags about the washer being the black sheep of the family, or it’s the American version, a victim of inflation, anyway I’m sure you get the idea.

But would replacing one of the Chinese coins be feasible or practical?

If not, I suppose you could possibly replace 2 or even all 3 of the coins, but replacing only one would be my preference.

Just FYI to anyone who may be interested...the advertising says this wallet is only capable of holding 4 dollar coins, and that is basically true. But because it is made of leather and because I have achieved success in stretching other leather wallets I have owned, I thought it worth a try with this one. The reason being is I have a favorite routine that uses 4 regular Morgan dollar coins and one turtle. I was hoping I could carry the turtle in the secret compartment while keeping the 4 regular coins inside the wallet and secretly ring the turtle in after having the 4 regular coins handled by the specs. This essentially means I would need it to hold 5 dollar coins.

So I stuffed the wallet with 6 dollar coins and let it sit for a few days. This seemed to stretch the leather enough without damaging the wallet, that I can now accomplish what I was hoping to.
It is still a bit snug mind you but with a little shake I can get the 4 coins to slide out of the wallet fairly easily.

I can’t necessarily recommend anyone else doing this but it worked for me.
So far, I’m really happy with everything about this coin wallet.

So you can fit 4 silver dollars in the wallet and then an additional coin or shell in the backpack.
I hope this video helps clear up some questions.

Love the idea of using this for CCC.

I have been using my wallet with CCC and wow it makes a huge difference! Really brings this routine up level. Thanks for sharing the idea Eric!
