First thoughts... Looks incredible! Also... Looks too good to be true. Says it’s great for real world use and not just social media... However, he doesn’t show the other side of the card afterward so I’m guessing you can’t display that part.
What are your thoughts? Can be seen here: https://wajtttt.com/ I’m personally tired of wasting money on things that are not useful in routines but rather cutsie little effects for one off uses. Quantum has that same issue. |

So the download is $15 and the ready-made product is $100. Makes me wonder what's involved and actually constructing this.
Besides using this for finding a selected card, not sure what else you would use it for? You'll probably have to do a card switch and since the box is empty the deck of cards will have to be sitting out on a table and you'll have to grab the deck and do the switch which will make this a very unnatural process. Maybe the Creator can come on here and explain what other routines you could use this for.

Don’t look good to me at all unless the card can be signed.

$85 difference? I guess it's something that is really hard to make.

Ok, let’s work back. Are there any reviews from those who paid the full price?

First thing to note is that Calen pulled off this project now. He likes to do limited releases as of recently it seems which Is why I jump on these rather quick, as I've been kicking myself for some T11 downloads I lost of his that he no longer sales. Disclaimer. I have not built the gimmick yet, and will update the review when I do so. That being said, the visual on this is crazy. Even after seeing how it works it's just so clever. After watching this about a million times I thought I was catching on a little. I did a little, however all the subleties and clever designs into this really just take it to the next level, and nothing I tried to replicate from it could be anywhere close to how good this is. Calen is a master at what he does. My mind is running wild on this, and of course I won't be 100 percent till I actually get to build and work the gimmick, but I think this could be a super powerful transposition, and could be used in a mystery card plot. The build on this isn't crazy difficult, as the whole runtime is a little over 18 minutes, and while I think a magician probably has the supplies needed for this, Calen suggests some specifics so I went ahead and ordered those to build. Realistically, even if being a novice or new to making gimmicks, I couldn't see this taking more than a half hour to make. I'll update again when I build and have some time to use the gimmick, but my first thoughts are this is a winner, and if you get the chance to pick this up, you should! I would personally not pay the 100 dollars for a gimmick where it seems pretty easy to make, but if you aren't into making gimmicks that would probably be worth it for you. 15 dollars for this is a big steal I think, as I think he could have charged more.

Am I the only one who can't seem to figure out how to see this on the site?

Sorry Calen but your website didn't help!.

It seems to me any card effect you do will require a switch of the card and since you are holding the box when you make the card appear, you have to take that card and pick up a deck to do a switch. That to me would seem very unnatural and suspicious if that is in fact the case.

Okay, so I got this a short while after it was released, and thought I'd build it and then share my thoughts here.
First off, yes, the visuals on this are incredible. I would say that while it could be done in person, it is more suited to virtual settings (specifically instagram etc.). Not overly angle-sensitive or anything, but just a bit more hidden when filmed vs performed live. I also think it works better as a quick one-off trick than as a component of a larger routine or effect. Furthermore, while the box is fully examinable, the card isn't at all. I suppose you could switch it, but I think that would detract from the in-the-moment excitement that comes from seeing this in action. I didn't find this too hard to build, but I love DIY gimmicks so may not be the best comparator. I can understand why it sold for 100$ - getting the right materials will add up in price (assuming you don't already have most of it lying around at home), and it does take around 15-60 minutes to build, depending on your skill level. I also don't doubt that Calen's will be a bit more professional than the one I made, which is admittedly a little rough around the edges. |

Hi everyone, link below is my performance of Phantasma. As Derotanim mentioned, easy build and mainly for social media magic.

I like your idea to end with a vanished card. even if your box is dirty now, nobody will ask for the card... like this you could build it into a routine too: you pretend to search for a signed card... then the appearing and disappearing of the card is like a "glitch in the matrix"... and finally it appears in the box. with the heat on the card from the box "is it the signed one?" you get rid of the box... ;-)

Wasn’t something like this released a while ago? I believe it was featured in Craig Petty’s “honest trailers” section (where he rips the trailer and the effect that’s part of the trailer apart)? It definitely was not Calen Morelli- it was someone else who released it and I was not surprised he hated it but I actually thought it looked really nice. Had to be a year or 2 ago when I saw this. Does anyone remember this?
