Hello there again.

I have found a site that sells 2 levitations the first one is descbribed like this:

Magna Carta Self Levitation
by Jeremiah Green
$10.00

You'll receive detailed written instructions plus 18 photographs to help.

Effect: Self Levitation. In sandals, so there is virtually no cover! In air movement!

Both feet are seen up.

3-4 inches

Impromptu, no gimmicks.

The second levitation is descibed like this:

Angel Rise Self Levitation
by Jeremiah Green
$8.00

You'll recieve detailed written instructions plus 14 photographs to help.

Effect: Self Levitation

Both feet are seen up.

3-4 inches

Impromptu, no gimmicks.

I want to know if someone performs some of these levitations, or have some sort of info about it.

Best regards,
Miguel Dias

The first one sounds like King Rising.

Can it be done surrounded? Or is it angly?

If you can do it in sandals, it is not King Rising. Nor is it Zero Gravity.

Guys, I gotta tell ya. Self-levetations are not only angly, but they are also CONDITIONAL. You can't "just do them". The spectator's cannot know what is going to happen before-hand. Lighting is a factor as well, a darker atmosphere is better than a brightly lit one.

I have "seen 'em all" (or close to it anyway), and the best one, IMHO, is still the Balducci. A common mistake that guys make when performing this effect is that they try to go as high as they can. Only go about one or one and a half inches off the ground. Height is a non-issue. I mean, ask anyone else to lift themselves off the ground even a half inch. Besides the spectators memory will embellish the effect, and a week later they will swear that you were a foot off the ground, and that they saw both feet in the air, etc. Smile

Dpe666,

Excellent comments. Height is the issue. Too high off the ground you will be exposed.

When I said that height is a non-issue, I meant as far as the perception of the spectators. They do not care how high you float. Smile

You can get hold of the levitations here.

If anyone purchases one, post a review.
But to me, the levitatons and the site look as dodgy as month old fish cakes. Smile

Paul Daniels did one at WMS and rose over a foot. Knocked 'em all dead. Fabulous.

Pete. It was nice and well done. Paul's work on Nicholas Einhorn's In-Flight.

They both sound like Balducci's! (a variation maybe?)

Hi Gerard!

In-Flight? I'm afraid that's a whole different deal. Very familiar with the principle, and it's ingenious! Gotta have the right props...they say you could get up to TWO feet with that one...

Pete (Or Michael):

Did he use the In-Flight props, or was it different?

Hi Dougini!
I wasn't refering to "In-Flight" at all.

My personal opinion on "In-Flight" is that it's quite obvious how were able to float with a box!

I also would like the answer to your question. "Did he use the In-Flight props, or was it different?

Paul Daniels' version was DIFFERENT, but had a similar look. He is currently touring Australia and when he gets back home, in conjunction with his brother (who is an excellent prop mechanic) will be marketing a limited number of them.

Glenn Farrington is FIRST on the waiting list. Smile

Steve Fearson has something suspiciously similar...using a plastic milk crate...hmmmm. I won't comment...yes I will, it's not quite the same...uses a rope over the shoulder...no cover.
