I recently learned of Richard "Dick" Oakley's passing in 2011. Richard, from "The Fun Shop," on Union Avenue, in Memphis, Tennessee, became my mentor in magic, in 1972. He ignited a fire in a then young magician's heart that has never burned out since. Unfortunately, time, distance and life caused me to lose touch with this wonderful representative of legerdemain, however, I never forgot him.

I felt truly compelled to add a "in memoriam" page to my personal collection site which I'm still working on. I thought I would share it with you.

Very nice memorial Ron. We must remember to thank the ones who have helped us, before they are gone.

Thank you very much Dan. I agree wholeheartedly. BTW, your ears should have been burning last week. I was telling a friend and fellow magi of your woodworking prowess. Smile
