Hey Everyone, I just recently got into some ring and rope magic,(Not Finger Rings) and I was looking for some books or videos that had some great routines or moves, I have Tarbell (which is what got me interested in ring and rope) and a PDF that came with the ring I bought, however the PDF doesn't go over much, it only goes over a simple link and unlink.
I'm not looking for a whole lot just enough to put together a strong visual 2-3 minute routine for a filler between some of my illusions. Thanks, Jonah |

Have a look at Self-Working Rope Magic by Karl Fulves. (No rope magic is really self-working, of course.)

If you can find it, El Duco put out a 5 phase ring and rope routine by willie Wessel that is fantastic. Some moves that I haven't seen anywhere else. Its a brilliant routine.

Phil Wilmarth, Past International President of the I.B.M. and long time editor of the Parade section of the Linking Ring Magazine, put out a lecture notes/booklet teaching most of the "new" ring & rope moves of the day. This was back in the time (decades ago) when most of the ring & rope material was considered fresh and innovative.
It still appears on the used lists from time to time, very reasonably priced. Julie |

Aldo Colombini's "Ring Around" and "Ring Around Two" are inexpensive and easy to follow. You used to be able to get one in video and one printed
for optimal learning.

Daryl has ring and rope routines on various DVDs, including Fooler Dooler series.
Williamson shows his routine in his Penguin Lecture. It's a real worker.

Many of my newly released F.U.N. Ring Series ebooks blend Ring on Rope with Linking Rings with original Sleight and sequences
that can be used independently or with standard R&R effects. "Rings of Troth" offers three: CrossLock, DoubleOn and DoubleBond - none of which are on any of the commercial DVD/Streaming/books mentioned above.

Tabary's Book!
Also, Tarbell volume 6 has a chapter on rope tricks that features a wonderful R&R effect from Peter Warlock. This trick was worth the price of the book to me. (But there are many other great tricks in Volume 6...) |
