What are the varies ways you introduce the 1st Silk in the Snap Silk Production?

I personally don't like just removing it rolled up from the belt or table as per Jeff McBride.

Also, I have just started purchasing the Rice Silk Books, What Volume is the Snap Silk in as I sure it must have some suggestions?
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

I think it was in the "Naughty Silks" booklet. Ruth Rice Crone posts here and probably knows but I can't recall off the top of my head.

It was included in Eric Lewis's Trilogy Book. Mr. Lewis gave Mr. Rice permission to use it. Marvin Roy also goes over his variationg quite well in his Stevens Magic tape.

You might consider having it appear in box. Maybe stick a blue silk into a silk cabby and then open the doors and show it has changed to red. And go into the snap silk from the red there. The last silk could be a blue silk. Remember, orginally the silks were different sizes.

It is hard to advise not knowing your style or preferences.

Hi James:

Here's a way I did it years ago; I don't believe it was an original idea of mine. Use a collapsable tophat. The Snap-silk bundle is attached to the inside of the hat with velcro or some other method. The hat is collapsed and the silks are held (and covered) by the folds of the collapsed hat.

I used a Kikuchi fire hat gimmick at the time, but you don't have to. Just show the collapsed hat - you can show it all around since the silk bundle is held and hidden inside. Pop the hat open and turn it upside down, and the silk cascades out of it. Take the silk out and you're ready to go.

This can be done anywhere - even in parlor situations where the audience is close up. No angle problems at all, plus you have a hat that you can put on your head or table, depending on your style.

The Snap Silk Production is in the Rice Booklet on the Diminishing Silk. This booklet is sold separate. It is also explained on the Mr. Electric tape from Stevens Magic. He uses silks that are all the same size.
