I purchased the white face wristwatch version with pen remote from Hocus-Pocus last week. Even after charging the pen remote for 24+ hours, the screen is so dark it is almost impossible to read. I can't set the watch to sync, or to read during a performance if it this dark. Is it possible to adjust the brightness/contrast on the pen remote?

I do not remember seeing anything in the instructional tutorial. But I can see mine when I turn the unit on. You may be dealing with a defective unit I would definitely call Paul or Max at Hocus Pocus.

My best magic buddy showed me this live in the week and it worked great.
He had the wrist watch version and the remote, I do however think Benke’s version is better with Peek smith as you can clearly see you have it correct. As a result you can change it easily if it’s not. With the infinity you get buzzes and can look at the remote to check it’s correct but in the real world it’s a lot of hassle to check (as the whole point of the remote is it’s out of play at all times). Therefore you just press the buttons and hope and pray you haven’t pressed a wrong one. With Benke’s plus PeekSmith it’s so easy to covertly view it so you just can’t possibly ever get it wrong. For the price though with the recent sale infinity was a watch steal, and if I didn’t own TimeSmith already (ie if it didn’t exist) I would have bought one myself Gaz 😊 |

I keep my pen unit right in front of me when I press the numbers. What I do is I start out with the pen in my pocket just looks like a normal pen as far as anybody is concerned. I now with my new handling on this give people the deck of cards we come up with a completely random time but before they deal the cards or do anything with the cards I walk away as to not have any influence and I even turn my back so there's no way I could influence them taking any card. With my elbows at my side I simply reach up pull the pen out look down put the needed time in put the pen back and I'm done no guesswork at all. I'm having a lot of fun with using cards to come up with the time that will eventually be on my wrist watch. Plus it is wonderful for misdirection.

Sounds great Eric, does the pen show you the time you have put in so you can change it if need be? Thanks for your great help as always on these boards Gaz 😊

Thank you Gaz. Yes you can look down and see exactly the time you're putting in and if you need to change it you certainly can with no trouble. You would be better served if you know military time because if you put in a time from 1 to 9 you will have to put a zero first no big deal but military time would be a lot easier to put in.

Finally back in stock so I picked up a gold/white face model. I’ve owned many versions over the yrs from the Gravity Watch to Jaoa’s Watch (which I never even took out of the box because I hated the look of the watch) to the Turner Watch which I used a few times. I am an avid watch collector and I wear a suit when I perform. So a quality watch that looks classy is a must. I also think that a working crown is very important. I’m kicking myself that I missed this when it was $150 but even at $250, I think this is the best watch I’ve seen of this type. I love the look of the gold/white face. Easy to read. And I like that I am always ready to go with a version that I can do even when I don’t have the remote on me. The super long battery life just puts it over the top. I have Peeksmith (but have never used it), so I debated getting the Timesmith watch, but the fully functional crown of the Infinity swayed me. Very happy with it thus far.

Eric once again I agree with you I have always wanted a version of this effect that does exactly what you're able to do with the Infinity watch. I absolutely love performing this in both formal and informal settings. I really enjoy performing this after a few mentalism routines and then I'll pick someone and make them The Mentalist where I select a Time set it down on the table step away from them sometimes even with my back turned and I asked them to try to think of the time that I set the watch to. After they do this I have them pick up the watch and I make sure they understand I have not come near that watch nor have I touched it when they turn it over they are shocked that they were able to think of the time that I set the watch to. I have found this goes over extremely well plus it makes them The Mentalist for a moment. I've toyed with the idea of having the time off by just a few minutes but so far the reactions have been very good and I don't know if I should toy with it or not.

Well, after several months of sitting on the fence, I finally took the plunge and purchased the Infinity Watch 3.0 (Silver Case / Black Dial w. Remote). This thread was very helpful in helping me make my decision, so I thank all of you for your contributions.
I already watched the tutorial, and I am confident that I made a good decision. I will definitely use this, mainly for a participant-as-mentalist routine. However, I am also planning on combining this with Thy Will Be Done. It seems to me that the watch prediction phase of that routine will be even more deceptive with Infinity. Has anyone tried this? Anyway, I am excited to get this. Endless possibilities. Marc |

Those who own the pocket watch edition will realise quickly that the range is considerably short. The lid is the cause of this. I have carefully removed my lid, as beautiful as it is. The range is now superb and I am having lots of fun again with this watch!

Is it a one time pair with the remote or does it have to be paired and set up each time you turn it on? To be clearer, if you were wearing the watch as your normal watch and the opportunity to perform presented itself, can you just turn the remote on in your pocket, or is there a further process necessary.
Thanks for any assistance answering this |

Received the pocket watch version yesterday and am very impressed with the look, quality and function. As mentioned the range is reduced with the pocket watch, however quickly realized there are a couple of things you can do to overcome that so not a barrier for me. I ordered directly from Bluether and received in one week from Hong Kong (to Canada) via FedEx. They only charged $10 for the shipping. Very happy so far.
