Let me start by saying right out of the gate that I am biased.
In my opinion, Nathan Lindley has created the holy grail of tools for the strolling mentalist/ esoteric performer. Yesterday I received a prototype of what Nathan intends to put to market in 7 days and I don't want to be cliche by saying "I wish I'd thought of it", but I really do. He's created a poker-sized utility deck that allows the performer to easily execute many, many routines without having to carry anything more than the deck. In short, when you print a deck of cards you get 56 cards, here's what comes in one box. (The cards are marked, in a subtle way and yet are speed readers). 12 Star sign cards 10 E.S.P cards (2 sets) 22 major Arcana Tarot cards 10 Number cards (0-9) 1 Crib sheet card (for quick reference of the Tarot Markings) 1 Advertising card - that links to the marking system. On the Angel card in the Tarot cards, the word 'Truth' is woven into the design and the Devil card the word 'Liar'. The deck allows you to perform any type of ESP match-up routine, give tarot readings, during those tarot readings (if you wanted) divine someone's star sign using the star sign cards, or reveal someone's date of birth using the number cards, or a pin code, or perform a question and answers using the yes/ no cards, perform liar truth-teller routines (such as which hand) using the Angel/ Devil cards. You can mix and match the cards in routines, or use them on their own. With the deck mixed with the velvet bag (which is also going to be available), you could throw in your billets and you practically have an unlimited amount of material (with a bit of thought) at your fingertips in one box. If you don't like the bag throw a black elastic band around the box and strap your billets to it. The reason I mentioned that I am biased, is because the deck uses the 'Ressurected' back design which I designed a number of years back. For me, it's the perfect back design, it is esoteric looking and that coupled with what he's designed for the fronts it really is killer. I believe, Nathan might correct me if I am wrong, he is only doing one print run. For the record, I am not affiliated with the project and I am only posting a testimony because Nathan asked me to post my honest opinion (good or bad). I don't have the details of how Nathan intends to launch the project - but I am sure he will come and update. Pete x |
