I was disappointed by this. It's very unreliable and risky. Just the build quality of the gimmick is not secure.

Hi Alex
You are the first one complaining, and doing it so hard, about the thing. Which is ok but other people were worried about the safety and they changed their mind after trying it or asking info to me, so if I can be of any help just pm me and I will be glad to answer and be helpful. Livio |

Isn't it something you make yourself, rather than buy?
Shouldn't that mean that if the build quality is low, it's because you made it poorly? |

I had the chance to try The THING when was just an idea in progress and was amazed by the Italian touch of Livio in simplifying to the bone the gimmick and all the actions around it.
And watching his video now still I think is a great great idea and an incredible mind setting in thinking coin magic. |

Hello All.
Revisiting this topic because of my appreciation of a couple vanishes Livio uses in his demo and tutorial videos that are deceptively simple, which I appreciate because they adhere to Vernon's principle of simplification (paraphrasing Vernon here). One vanish I know I've come across in a video or book is one where a coin tumbles down the fingers of one hand and apparently into the vanishing hand. There is a nice retention of vision, particularly with a dollar size coin. Can anyone recall the name of this vanish? I'd like to research it with the hope of finding it in materials I own. |

Revisiting this topic makes me think: "Good lord! The lengths people will go to to dump on something they don't personally like! Four pages, going back and forth, on something that boils down to personal opinion and taste..."

Having now constructed a TTTNW, I find that the recommended placement does not work well for me due to the relative measurements of my torso and arms. My hands naturally rest well below the level demonstrated by Livio, and my wardrobe doesn't lend itself to the discrepancy.
If anyone who uses TTTNW has similar a situation, I'd appreciate any tips you may have to overcome the obstacle. Feel free to PM for discretion. |

Once built THE THING the first thing to do is to move your hands your way to find the best contact points. Usually the sides are better and easier, just need a right cover as a jacket or a tee.
But if I can be of more help let's pm. I've tried quite all the possibilities and maybe some good ideas may jump out. Livio |

Sorry to revive an old thread. Does anybody have a working link where I can buy this? Everything I’ve found so far appears to be dormant, though I do have a PM in to the creator.
