It would have to be PETA's new book, how to kill an elephant from the inside.

It would be any thick and big magic book (like greater magic or card craft) which would be hollowed inside to hide a big-a*s Hell's Bells bowie to cut myself out!!!

Could you please explain how are you/we supposed to get trapped inside an elephant in the first place ????????
(hopefully you got inside from the front, not the back.....;-)

I can understand introduction like "lost on a deserted island..." "going to space..."

But this one gets the cake!!!

By the way, didn't you notice that "If you could take 1 magic book to space for a year" was 5 threads below yours ON THE SAME PAGE!!! (see first link below)

How about "Horton Hears a Who... From Inside!"

We got a detective here Smile

I forgot to mention that you would only need to be in the elephant for only 1 week.

so I am sure that would change the type of book you would want to bring with you. Since a week isn't that long. maybe 25 amazing tricks with sponge balls?

How did you get into the elephant? Do you get to bring stuff with you?

It would probably be either the Worker's series or Shattering illusions.

I would bring the Klutz Book of Magic as it's pages are plastic coated and could stand up to being inside an elephant for a week or so.
Also it is still readily available so if it got ruined inside the elephant I could easily replace it.

I advise that sponge balls would not be a good idea...Might just end up decomposing due to the acid...Coins might be the best option...In which case I would have to take "Expert Coin Magic", the new and enlarged version with laminated pages of course...

I suggest The Jerry Lewis Book of Magic. As dark as an elephant's insides are, you need to settle for something that qualifies as light reading.

Can we bring D-lights too? That would be useful inside the elephant.

I would bring Houdini's "How to Escape from inside an Elephant", the Dover reprint, 'cuz I wouldn't want the rare 2nd edition to get soiled... The method is fairly simple: take the shotgun, blast your way out, fold up the elephant and put in your back pocket. Take the other elephant out of your other pocket (unfold) and you have a miracle! Escape from a sealed elephant! (Now if I can figure out the "Mailed & Sealed elephant headline prediction", where the v.i.p. gets to open the elephant themselves...)

African or Indian elephant. Please makes a difference which book to take.

Thank you for the info.

As Saturnin said, it would be any thick and big magic book which would be hollowed inside, holding a big container of Ex-Lax...

Ever seen someone shot out of a cannon?

Note to Dan Harlan: Could we make up a Card-Toon deck, and call it "Sh*t-Toon?" Smile

Maybe not.

"Running" along now...

I think we should ask the eminent Captain Spaulding, the African Explorer - I do believe he once shot an elephant in his pajamas, though how they got into his pajamas, he never knew.

I would bring the book 'How to escape from inside an elephant' which was written by the uk escape from inside elephants association and was also endorsed by the elephant awareness society

P.s the elephant awareness society is about educating the public on being eating by elephants.

Thier website is
"Your the Italian stallion" As said by my g/friend
