I want to encourage anyone who is looking for high quality silks from a major retailer to look into the Rice Spectrum silks from SKS. I don't see these silks talked about much, so for anyone searching I can confirm these are worth the little extra money you pay over the cheaper products like from VDF, Gosh, or Uday. Pair a 12" SKS Rice Spectrum silk with a King Size Vernet and you have an impressive vanish/appearance for just a few bucks. If you're looking for HQ diamond-cut silks, I'd look into Dovelite/Bob Sander's silks, a user here on TMC. |

Agree. Rice silks have always been the best in my experience. They look good to start with and they do tend to last longer.
Bob Sander's silks are also good. I've never had one , but someday want to get the Rice picture silk "Imperial Dragon". Click here to view attached image. |

I think if you want a Rice Imperial Dragon you should get it now because I am not sure if these will continue to be produced. (I mean the authentic Rice Silk King Studio dragon, not a copy) . As I understand it the Rice Silk King Studios is now under new ownership of David Haversat. I am not clear about whether the Rice Silk King Studio continues to produce NEW silks or if he is simply selling off the existing stock.
I noticed some time ago that the Rice website has posted: "ADDITIONAL ITEMS WILL BE ADDED SHORTLY FROM OUR VAST LINE OF SILK PRODUCTS." But the website has had that notification for over a year and no new products have been added to date. I hope they will continue. http://www.silkkingmagic.com |
