I have owned both old style and the newer “Silver edge” version.
The Chinese coin is aluminum - chrome plated. Prefer a better quality coin.
It is a Shell + C/S coin vs. A genuine CSB
The “shell” is merely a Chinese shell. The problem of this is that the “edge” of the Chinese is chrome plating. Which looks totally odd with a soft Walking Liberty Coin.
I sold both of mine because there are better CSBs out there for the price.
I prefer the older style one with a Gold plated Chinese coin with better contrast. It was STILL aluminum shell, but if you carefully sand away the plating on the edge and rim. The dull aluminum matches the Walker much better!
