I may have lost my senses but I'm considering using a liquid penetration effect.
Here's my question, how can I carry around the liquid? I'm considering simply using a bottle, possibly one of those short ones. Also where to dispose of the water? A jar perhaps? |

I use Tipton gun oil flip top bottles. The flip top makes it really easy to quickly fill milk pitchers without carrying a funnel. You can transport them with the non-flip top if you expect the bottles to be violently shaken during transport.
If you need to carry a large quantity of liquid, you should check into nalgene bottles as used by hikers. They are essentially bulletproof. |

If it just water, then go to the restroom after you show and pour it in the toilet, and flush.
There is a number of liquid penetrations, which one are you using ? I use a plastic Pitcher, for my effect. If you need water, just go the restroom and fill up the pitcher before the show. They sell some nice looking clear pitchers, go shopping at Walmart. Hard to give you advice without the details. |

Bill, I'm looking into the three glass liquid penetration from abbott.
The concern of course is spilling liquid either before or after I pour it, i may not have a chance to fill everywhere I end up, so I'm looking for a safe way to transport that can fit in a case. My thinking is to use a bottle, possibly water bottle possibly the kind frank suggested. i don't know or not if the water needs to be multicolored, I'm leaning To not for ease of transport. as for disposal (somewhere to pour the water from the cups) my best idea so far is to carry a jar of some sort in the case wherever I am doesn't have a place to dispose of it. Any thoughts? |

With that description, a widemouth nalgene bottle would fit the bill. They are darn near indestructible and leakproof. With the widemouth you can easily pour the liquid back in the bottle and carry it out with you. They are available at sporting goods stores in a variety of sizes.

As chance would have it, I just got a bottle very similar to this today.
And get this, I got it for free! |

Fedora, Simply put, you do not pour out colored liquid, That is the magic part of the trick, you pour plain water, and simply pour it in the stacked glasses.
Invest in the trick, and you will not have to guess about the preparation. Just make sure you have a sold table to perform the trick on. Of course, like any magic effect, you do not buy and instantly perform. You read the instructions and practice the effect. It is a real puzzler for the audience. There is set-up you do at home prier to taking it to your show and perform it. Just like any stand-up show effect. Yes, you can pour the clear water from a clear bottle if you like. Sorry, I will not tell you the secret, that is what you are paying for upon purchase. You can even keep the water bottle sealed, and open it so the audience can hear you breaking the seals. |

Thanks bill, using clear water that turns color didn't cross my mind.
I've acquired a bottle similar to the one frank showed, it will be used to put the water afterward to make it Easier to dispose of. As for the table, that was the biggest thing on my mind when I first considered it, luckily my current table is solid and fairly level. |
