I have Davenports mail box bill tube made in late 1930's (I think)
I would not sell it as long as my hands are working. And of course my 2 hour stage show that used to be my bread & butter once. :kewl: |

Alan Warner's (England) mini-Magic made of teakwood--particularly the Egyptian items--and certain collectibles (apparatus) such as Thayer Blue Phantom, Rice Checkers and Orange, etc. My fondness is for well made wooden items. I once had a very old Thayer (I think) Coin in Ball of Wool (nest of two mahogony boxes). Circumstances dictated I sell it. A few years ago I purchased a new Owens set, but it's just not the same...(sigh)

Got a lot of schweeeet stuff, but, here are the most treasured (so far):
An original Al Baker Dye Tube, worn, but works fine. An original Ireland Multiplying Golf Ball Set (4 balls, 2 sh**ls) Pete Biro's Hindu Cups & Balls (best I've ever seen) Zone Zero Mogar's Color Changing knives Astrosphere Not necessarily in that order, but there's just a few for ya! Cheers! Doug |

All I have! I don't buy anything that I do not really intend to keep. I especially would not part with my tarbell complete course set.
The great trouble with magicians is the fact that they believe when they have bought a certain trick or piece of apparatus, and know the method or procedure, that they are full-fledged mystifiers. -- Harry Houdini

While not a "trick" of it's own, one thing I will ALWAYS have is My TT's. I very seldom leave home without one. I have been using one for over 36 years and I see no end in sight.

Everything mentioned is just "stuff."
I'll never part with my brain, probably the best magic thing I have! |

I agree with you peter, although I could probably use a new brain (mine got used a lot in the 60's).

Iven,
To quote Robin Williams, "Anyone who says he remembers the '60s, wasn't there." Amen, brother! LOL! |

I was born into the 1960's. 1960 to be specific. And I'm still not all here. The purple haze didn't settle over us till the early 1970s. The loss of Janice and Jimmy took a while to accept... and by then the media were there to launch events that made the 1960s look .. well... small, conservative and homey.

The friendships I have made in magic, an Ireland Penny Dropper from "Buma", an Egg Bag from Art Lyle, a roll of red electrical tape from Irv Wiener, a coin from the Professor, a glass deck from McMillen, a book from Charlie Miller, letters from Marlo, Ron Bauer's toy frog, a cocktail shaker from Jerry Camaro, a card cutter from Dorian, a book from Gene Matsura, etc. See, I'm a senti-mentalist!
