I don't know if this is even possible, but I'd love for my final loads to reveal with a [slight] puff of smoke from under the cups.
I never took much chemistry, and I can't really think of a safe, plausible method to load the smoke. Any ideas?

Due to the nature of what I have to reveal and the little bit of inherent danger, I'll send you a PM about it.

Greg, thanks for the PM. Chris, the product you mention is apparently the same as what Greg suggested. Unfortunately, I don't think I want to wear rubber gloves and safety goggles while performing the C&B. I guess I'll have to look for some other astonishing finish to my routine.

Berkley, what exactly are your final loads? It could be that you can build something into them to be the actual smoke system. Maybe tiny flashpots that go off just as you lift the cups or just bingo devices and attach a piece of flashpaper that is loaded with smoke powder and as you lift the bingo device goes off and sets off the smoke. You'd get a flash, a bang and smoke this way.

If you are using brass or copper cups, it will corrode them. It may attack stainless steel cups. Not to berate the people who make it, but they list the chief ingredient as "Tritium Tetrachloride." I have done some extensive checking with research chemists on this subject, because it was mentioned in Sheherazade. No research chemist I know (and we grow them here in Houston) had ever heard of Tritium Tetrachloride. They had, however, heard of Titanium Tetrachloride, which is the chemical that skywriters use to make smoke. The MSDS on TiCl4 reads like a nightmare, if you work around metals. It is illegal to ship this stuff in the US Mail. And UPS requires a hazardous materials label on the package.

Might be an application for the Black Beauty cups?
